St. Mark YAMS

St. Mark YAMS The Young Adult Ministry of St. Mark Church is open to ages 18 to 35.

Our vision is to encourage all generations to live their lives in a manner that honors God and brings Him glory through:

• Mentoring – Providing education, leadership and support through guidance and modeling by investing our time, talents and treasures in serving others.

“Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in

your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.” Titus 2:6-8
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

• Magnifying - Celebrating the glory of our Lord through service and outreach in an effort to excite and heighten the masses.

“ So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
“ As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10

• Modernizing – Creating novel techniques that revitalize traditional methods of evangelism and stewardship with fresh, new methods that are characteristic of our present time.

“ Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Ministry Goals
• To glorify God.
• To unite generations.
• To redefine The Walk

LIVING IN 2020 WITHOUT 20/20 VISION!
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
— Romans 12:2

Faith is central to our spiritual lives. 2020 has proven how easily we succumb to fleshy things of the world. As firm believer that everything happen for a reason, it's safe to say that the world needed a reset. We took our eyes off the most high our vision became blurry and unfocused. But to see 20/20 in 2020 we have to make God the focus again. Only through his word, his grace and his mercy can we again have 20/20 vision.

Having faith is the ultimate 20/20 vision. Keeping faith through sickness and death, Through the death of the innocent, systemic racism and the divisiveness among the black and brown community.

To get our 20/20 vision back we need to adjust our energy. We are constantly fighting battles not worthy of the energy. And more often than not it's not even our battle to fight. That type of unfocused energy serves no purpose in kingdom building. Gotta change the energy, remember what you put into the world you get it back 10x over.

Secondly to get our 20/20 vision back we gotta change our attitudes In Romans 15:5 it says May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus. We gotta stop fighting with each other. Stop being focused on who's delivering the message and focus on the message itself. Stop quitting church because u don't always see eye to with the pastor or church leaders. Try having a conversation it may simply a misunderstanding. Attitude and ignorance is killing the body of Christ and not talking about any building or denomination, none of that matters when focused the matters of the most high. Change your attitude focus on the son, the father and the holy spirit. Your attitude will blur your vision and THE Vision.

To see 20/20 in 2020 you gotta adjust your energy and change your attitude. You have to look through the eyes of the most high god, because if your are focused on him you can't see nothing else, and you will always have 20/20 vision

Blessings on the people of Christ Amen.......
