In Acts 12, Peter hasn’t picked a lock or overpowered a soldier. God does what Peter could never do for himself. Peter just had to follow each next step of obedience.

The same is true for the chains that bind us today: you are not going to overcome addictions, patterns, or unhealthy things in your life simply by trying harder. You need the Lord, the ultimate chain breaker, to bring deliverance you cannot do for yourself.

“And his chains fell off his hands.” Acts 12:7 (NKJV)

In the meantime, keep doing the next right thing. When the Lord says take the next step, take it. With every step of obedience, you might open your eyes one day and say, I’m free.

Whether or not Amendment 3 passes, the church must remain on the front lines. We must protect the unborn and do everything we can to change the culture of death. Let's not forget that, at the heart of this issue, there are people who need Jesus.

How should Christians think about imperfect laws protecting unborn lives? With Amendment 3 on the November ballot, we need to seriously consider this.

“Win a battle and continue to fight the war.”

An imperfect law may not settle the whole moral issue, but it can still offer real protection now. The call here is to seek justice, save lives where we can, and keep fighting for the unborn.

Holiness does not mean keeping broken people at arm’s length.

“The holiness of Christ did not require him to keep broken people at an arm’s distance”

The gospel never asks us to compromise holiness, but it often calls us to give up comfort. Jesus moved toward the people others avoided, with truth and grace. If we want to be part of His expanding kingdom, we have to learn the same way.

Three years ago today, hatred was put on full display as Hamas terrorists attacked innocent civilians, slaughtering men, women, children, and entire families.

Today, we remember those whose lives were taken, and we stand in solidarity with the Jewish people. We affirm their God-given right to exist and to live securely within their historic homeland, and we reject any ideology that uses senseless, unjust violence against innocent people to advance its cause.

There is no such thing as a righteous cause that intentionally targets and murders the innocent.

Today, we remember. We mourn. We stand with the Jewish people.
