On behalf of the West St Johnsville Cemetery Association we would like to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of one of our Trustees, Carl Gray. Carl and Jean Kanuch Swartz have been members of the Cemetery Board since 2010. We will miss him at our meetings and at the annual cleanup days at the Cemetery. He had such a great sense of humor and kept us laughing. We truly appreciate everything he has done for the Cemetery over the years. Our sincere condolences to Jean and to the Gray family.

On behalf of the West St Johnsville Cemetery Assoc we would like to share this post celebrating our Superintendent Joseph Mastracco's 100th birthday on August 22nd 2024. He has been Superintendent since 1992 and we thank him for his dedication and service all of these years. We planted a tree in the Cemetery with a dedication plaque which reflects his dedication to the Cemetery and his 100th Birthday. Thank you board member Larry Schoff for making sure it was planted with TLC 😊

We have decided to reschedule the cleanup from Sunday March 24th to another day however we will try to get the branches off the roads and have the gate open by next week and Easter Sunday, we will keep you posted on the next clean up day and thank you !

The West St Johnsville Cemetery would like to possibly open early this year ( normal season runs from May 1st to November 1st ) but before we can do that we have to arrange a "clean up" day as the wind storm has brought down numerous branches throughout the Cemetery grounds. We will be meeting on Sunday March 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cemetery to do that, if you would like to help please join us as the sooner we get it cleaned up the sooner we can open the gate. Thank you.
