River Family
This is a photo of my dad with Charlie Kirk—a moment he treasured, a powerful encounter with a young leader bold enough to speak truth in an age of lies.
A light in the darkness.
Charlie wasn’t just a voice for conservative values—he was a warrior for biblical truth.
A man unafraid to stand firm in a culture of compromise.
My dad admired him deeply, as did millions across this country who saw in him a modern-day David, standing up against the Goliaths of our time.
I’m devastated in a way I never imagined I could be again.
Charlie Kirk—unapologetic, unwavering, unrelenting—was fatally shot while standing boldly for truth on a university campus.
On September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University, his life was taken. But his legacy cannot be. His death is more than tragic—it is an indictment of the culture of hatred that now festers in our schools, our media, and the radical left’s war on truth.
I’ve walked through the aftermath of violence before.
I’ve buried loved ones whose lives were taken by senseless hate. I’ve felt the fire of being targeted for simply believing what Scripture teaches. But this—this cold-blooded assassination of a Christian leader—is a new level of evil.
This is the face of spiritual warfare in our generation.
But hear me clearly:
We are the light of the world, and it is our time to shine.
John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
And it won’t.
Not now.
Not ever.
The death of a messenger does not kill the message.
Throughout history, when darkness strikes, the light of God spreads wider and burns brighter.
What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good.
And just like the martyrs before him, Charlie’s death will only multiply the mission.
To those who loved Charlie—your grief is real. Your anger is righteous. But let your pain turn into courage. Let it fuel a boldness this generation has not yet seen.
We must rise.
We must lead.
Speak.
Shine.
Stand.
And we must never retreat.
Charlie’s voice may be silenced, but his mission is not.
He lit a torch.
Now it’s in our hands.
Let’s show the world that truth cannot be silenced. That faith will not be shaken.
That freedom is worth fighting for.
The war is real.
The cost is high.
But God is with us.
It’s time.
The church must wake up.
The remnant must rise.
We are the light of the world.
And this is our time to shine
