As some of you may know, chaos has broken out in Afghanistan. US troops were pulled out of the country, thus creating an opening for the Taliban to take over. The Taliban has turned Afghanistan into absolute ruin, murdering innocent men, women, and children. All families are required to mark their houses with an “X” if there are any women in the household. Girls under the age of 15 are taken by the Taliban as “prizes” or “trophies”. Additionally, women ages 16-25 are taken, r***d, and handed over to the s*x trade while their husbands are killed.
The Afghani people are in extreme danger as we speak, especially Christians. Several Christian leaders and their families are on a Taliban hit list and therefore must flee (most of whom take refuge in the mountains). Afghanistan is the second fastest growing church in the world, with the Taliban claiming the biggest threat to be Christianity. Thankfully, God is still moving, with many Christian leaders under the Taliban’s radar staying in Afghanistan and continuing to grow the church amidst extreme persecution. We ask that you please pray for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan who are literally running for their lives. 🙏❤️
There is currently not a Lifeline presence in the country, and we understand that there are many differing views on what is going on. However, we would like to make you all aware of the factual information behind the situation.
