MEET OUR WORSHIP LEADER, FAAM!
We are excited to bring back our dear friend, Faam, as she shares her gifts and talents with us this weekend. Come join us for an evening of worship led by Faam and her team! 💚
You can read more about Faam and her story here:
I graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute with an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Science. Before college, I worked as a longterm nanny and later moved on to become an Early Intervention ABA therapist. After spending the last year feeling uncertain about fully obtaining a career in OT, I am currently back to working as a nanny while I study for the NBCOT exam to become a certified occupational therapy assistant. I have constantly had to relearn the frustrating truth that there is no right or wrong decision - there are just choices to make. :’)
I was born in Oroville, CA, but moved to Seattle, WA at three years old. I am the youngest and certainly the most spoiled of five children. I live with my two housemates whom I call mom and dad. I am a very proud single mother of one very high maintenance furry grey boy named Winter. I enjoy running, eating chips, taking roadtrips, staying hydrated, rotting in bed with a romantasy book, and going to breweries with friends.
I have been a part of the MCYA community since I first attended youth camp back in 2005 as a sixth grade camper… and now I feel very old upon realizing that. Anyway, I willingly gave back by serving as a camp counselor as soon as I graduated high school. Once that got too overwhelming for me, I eventually floated on over to the worship team. There, my passion for worship was gratefully fostered and only ballooned from then on out. I was given the opportunity to lead for three years until Covid took over the world, but it was one of few times where I had felt the most alive. I was allowed the space to learn, to explore, to make mistakes, to grow, and to understand and accept who God created me to be which is ✨enough✨
