God is Good! May started with the opportunity to celebrate with Summit Baptist Church in Springdale as they broke ground on their building, and we closed the month by visiting churches and mission rallies that gave offerings towards the May Missions goal. To date, over $32,000 has come in, and for that we praise God!

MEET THE MISSIONARY
Will and Ashley have been married for almost 21 years. They have three kids: Gracie, 19, J’Amauri, 8, and Gus, 6.

📍The Diggs Family has been working to plant a church in MidTown Little Rock since Thanksgiving 2023. Although MidTown is not a strictly defined area, there are over 100,000 people within a 4-mile radius of the Diggs home. Currently, the mission meets in the Diggs home on Sunday nights for bible study with monthly worship gatherings in a local park.

☕️Since MidTown church plant meets in the Diggs home, Bro. Will loves to bike to River City Coffee, just one mile away, to read and study the Bible.

🙏 How to pray!
Please pray for the health of the Diggs family. J’Amauri has experienced severe mental health challenges over the last year. Also, pray that the people involved in the mission church would own the vision of a church in their community.

MEET THE MISSIONARY
Jesus and Esther Gabriel began the work at Galilee Baptist Church in Jacksonville in January of 2012 and Alpha and Omega Baptist Church in Mabelvale in December of 2017. Bro. Jesus became a salaried State Missionary in November of 2017.

🍅 He enjoys planting seasonal vegetables such as corn, chili peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, tomatillos, and broad beans. He carefully tends them from the beginning, patiently waits for a fruitful harvest, and enjoys consuming the produce.

🙏 How to pray!
“Pray for the Hispanic community, that many may come to salvation, as hearts can often be resistant to receiving Christ.
Pray for the growth of our congregations.
Pray for more missionary workers, as the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
Pray for mentors who can provide guidance and ministerial support for us as missionaries.”

MEET THE MISSIONARY
Micah started the first Bible study in Springdale in the Fall of 2018. Micah has been married to his wife Sheri for 24 years. They have a teenage son, Adam, who is still at home, as well as a grown daughter, Abby, and son-in-law, Josh, who are out on their own.

🏠 Micah is at home in homes. “Much of our ministry happens in people’s homes. Our first ever meeting was in my home, and our life groups continue to meet in homes. There is something special and warm about gathering in people’s homes for Bible study, fellowship, eating together, and prayer (Acts 2:42).”

🌳 An enjoyable place for Micah in Northwest Arkansas is the Razorback Greenway. This is a bike and walking path that many people use to get outdoors.

🙏 How you can pray!
“Pray for our building project. We expect to break ground in May, and it will take nearly a year to complete construction and move into the building. Also, please pray for God to give the increase spiritually and numerically.”

What a great way to kick off May Missions month! To see one of our church plants supported through Arkansas State Missions, take this next step. God has ordained every step of Summit Baptist Church to this point, and we have faith that God will continue to orchestrate the journey as only He can. Please pray for Summit as they enter into an almost year-long project of construction on their meeting facility.

MEET THE MISSIONARY
Alejandro and Irma Moreno started working in the Alexander-Bryant area in November of 2023. They have two daughters Keila and Zoar.

🎶He loves writing spiritual songs, arranging them, and recording them. Alejandro likes learning to play musical instruments, and he collects Bibles in different versions and languages.

🙏 How you can pray!
“I humbly ask for your fervent prayers. We are currently facing a significant need, as we have been asked to leave our present meeting place and must do so shortly. We trust in the Lord, who has promised, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). Please pray that during this transition no one will be lost or discouraged, but rather that the Lord will strengthen His people, grant us wisdom and clear direction, and provide a new place in His perfect timing; one that is suitable, accessible, and strategically located for the furtherance of His gospel.”

April was a fantastic month! We had many opportunities to share about state missions and multiple opportunities to assist and encourage our missionaries. As the calendar turns to May, May Missions month has arrived! Throughout the month, we will be highlighting our state missionaries and asking our churches to prayerfully consider taking a special offering for the May Missions goal set at $60,000.

Would you take time to read the latest update from State Missionary Micah Deaton?

The Lord is doing a great work in Springdale! Would you pray for Bro. Micah, as he leads the congregation, would you pray for the building project that is beginning, and would you pray for spiritual and numerical growth within the work.

Don't forget, this Sunday, May 3rd, at 12:00, Summit Baptist Church will break ground on its building. If you are in the area, would you come and join this church plant in celebrating all that God has done and will continue to do through the construction phase and for years to come?

If you are able, join Summit Baptist Church on Sunday May 3rd for this monumental occasion and celebrate what God has already done and continues to do in Springdale, Arkansas!

Join us for a special Groundbreaking Service on Sunday, May 3rd. We will have our regular service at the church building at 10:00 a.m. After this, we will meet at the Summit House (305 S. 48th Street, Springdale) for lunch around Noon followed by a brief service at the site of the new building. We hope you will join us as we celebrate God's blessings!

We have hit the midpoint in April; therefore, May will be here before we know it. May has been set aside as May Missions month, with emphasis on a special offering for Arkansas State Missions. Please join us in praying that we would reach our goal of $60,000.
