What a great service yesterday! We had our very first Baby Dedication, where we had the opportunity to pray over our little ones and families got to pray over one another.

Tomorrow is a special Sunday at Pursue Church Austin!

We’ll celebrate our first-ever Child Dedication and hear a message from Pastor Wuan D. Miller entitled “When God Begins Again.”

When Israel was broken, God began again with a child. The story of Hannah and Samuel reminds us that children are a blessing, a stewardship, and a sign that God still cares deeply about what happens next.

Samuel shows us that God can use a child to change a generation. Jesus shows us that God used a Child to change eternity.

The world changes. Language changes. Culture changes. But God’s truth does not.

In this opening lesson of Words That Still Matter, we begin looking at biblical words that may not be used as often today, but still carry eternal significance for Christian living.

Our challenge as believers is to communicate with a changing world without allowing that world to redefine what God has already said.

We can change how we say it without changing what God said.

Expressing anger, disappointment, and feeling forgotten is valid. Just like the Psalms, bring your raw emotions to God. He offers an exchange: the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

When pressure hits our lives, we don’t always naturally think our way through things. We often fall back on the things we believe, which is why it's important for us to change our beliefs.
