FULL ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
(Video/Audio)

In order to discuss eternal security, one must know how salvation is secured in the first place. Salvation is the work of God, and it is hands off for you. The biblical case for security is about full assurance. Full assurance comes from understanding and acknowledging the Mystery of Christ. Learn more about how you can be fully assured of your salvation in this second part of our series on eternal security entitled, “Full Assurance of Salvation.”

SALVATION MADE CLEAR VIDEO/AUDIO SEMINAR - https://graceambassadors.com/seminar18:

For too many people salvation remains a mystery, confusion, and point of contention. What is it? How do I get it? How do I keep it? Can I lose it? How does it work? How do I know if I am saved? How were people in the Bible saved? What about good behavior? This should not be so. This seminar explores the most important function and consequence of Bible believing mid-Acts Pauline dispensational right division which is to make salvation clear.

The (Mystery) Gospel According to Paul
By Justin Johnson

The Old Testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are commonly referred to as the Four Gospels. Many Bibles even have in the titles of these books “The Gospel According to…” Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

All four of them contain the same gospel: the gospel of the kingdom. The gospel of the kingdom declared the fulfillment of the prophetic kingdom to the nation Israel.

What they do not contain is the gospel of the cross for salvation. Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection do not even occur until the final chapters of the books.

Jesus in his earthly ministry confirmed the kingdom promises to the circumcision (Israel):

“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:” – Romans 15:8

Each of the four books start with the earthly ministry of Jesus to the circumcision and ends with his death and resurrection. This outlines the ministry and message of Peter, John, and the Twelve according to prophecies of Christ.

Their ministries begin with the prophecies and end with their fulfillment in Christ.

However, there is a fifth gospel. Paul’s gospel was not copied from Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. It was personally revealed by the Lord (Gal 1:11-12).

As such, Paul’s gospel as told in 1 Corinthians 15 is different than the four traditional Gospels. It includes the revelation of the mystery of Christ.

A New Beginning

Paul does not begin with Jesus’ ministry to the circumcision as do Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. He says elsewhere that he does not know Christ after the flesh:

“…though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.” – 2 Corinthians 5:16

Instead, the first thing in Paul’s gospel is the last thing in the four gospels: the death and resurrection of Christ.

“…I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures;” – 1 Corinthians 15:3

This seems right as the foundation of Paul’s gospel of the grace of God was not the kingdom promises to a circumcised people, but the cross itself (1 Cor 1:18, 2:2, 3:10). The very first point of Paul’s gospel is neither the genealogy of Jesus nor Jesus’ relationship to prophecy, but his death for our sins.

A New Ending

Also different is how Paul’s gospel ends in 1 Corinthians 15:1-10.

The four so-called Gospels do not progress beyond the appearance of the resurrection Jesus to the Twelve apostles. However, Paul is nowhere to be found in the four Gospels. He is not only absent but an unbeliever and an enemy of the gospel of the kingdom:

“And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem;…” – Acts 8:1

Paul’s gospel goes beyond the resurrection of Christ to his kingdom remnant. Paul explains the revelation of the mystery of Christ to himself “last of all”.

“And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.” – 1 Corinthians 15:8

Born out of the due time of prophecy, Paul was given salvation by the Lord himself and was chosen as the dispenser of the gospel of the grace of God:

“If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:” – Eph 3:2

“… a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” – 1 Corinthians 9:17

The Mystery Gospel

It is popular to pursue the gospel narratives found in Matthew-John as the key to understanding the Bible.

While there are doctrinal gems and spiritual truths in these books, we must remember Paul’s gospel in order to understand all things (even those things beyond the resurrection of Jesus).

“Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. “ – 2 Tim 2:7

The gospel Christ gave to Paul is missing from Matthew-John, and so is called a mystery gospel (Rom 16:25, Eph 6:19).

Instead of trying to pattern ourselves after the Lord’s earthly ministry passed on to his twelve apostles to Israel, we should start with Christ crucified and pattern our ministry after the heavenly message of the apostle of the Gentiles (Rom 11:13).

When our focus is on the gospel God gave to Paul then we will be in position to grow in the grace of God as did Paul, according to his gospel:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” – 1 Corinthians 15:10

CONFIRMATION HEARINGS AND HELL
by Justin Johnson

No, this article is not about the politics or religious preferences of those involved in the Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

I’d rather make an important point about hell that could be made from watching C-SPAN last week. (Insert joke about watching congressional television here.)

SENTENCING JUSTICE

During the confirmation hearings of Ketanji Brown Jackson an interesting side discussion arose about judicial sentencing.

In making the case for outdated sentencing guidelines for distributing child po*******hy Brown said, “You can be doing this for 15 minutes and all of a sudden you are looking at 30, 40, 50 years in prison.”

Though this did not help make her case, it did bring up an important topic (if only for a moment) about the sentencing duration for momentary crimes.

The right answer is clear, and not disputed (not even by Brown despite her poor statement to the contrary). The length of the sentence is not determined by the time it takes to commit the crime. The length of sentence is determined by things such as the severity of the crime and who it is perpetrated against.

A terrible criminal could spend 150 hours planning a heist to steal a pack of bubble gum and spend less time in jail.

Conversely, a criminal could go on a murderous rage and kill his family in a matter of minutes and go to jail for his entire life. The severity of the crime matters.

Likewise, a vandal could break the window on my house and be cited for a misdemeanor, but if the same vandal went and broke a window at the White House, there would be more serious consequences. Who the crime is perpetrated against matters.

Though po*******hy is legal in our country, the Bible speaks of it as a grievous sin. This truth lurks in the consciences of many in our religious country as po*******hy is a subject of shame and done in secret dark places by most people.

However, if you produce po*******hy of minors then suddenly you are not looking at a dirty little secret, but a grievous offense even in the eyes of our fallen world. Who the crime is against matters.

WHAT ABOUT HELL?

What does any of this have to do with hell?

Students of the Bible have been discussing justice and punishment for centuries as it concerns heaven and hell.

How can wrong deeds done in one short life give consequence to an eternity in hell? Should the crimes committed in a moment be sentenced with eternal damnation?

“But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” – Mark 3:29 (which the hell deniers say is translated wrong)

These days where institutional justice is not trusted, and postmodern sentiments douse the fires of hell as being too judgmental and offensive to our subjective experiences, it is in vogue once again to deny the everlasting punishment of hell (or the lake of fire).

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” – Matthew 25:46 (deniers of hell say this is translated wrong)

It is denied on the idea that it is unjust to sentence people to everlasting punishment for sins only done in a short temporal life. This poor logic is the same raised in Brown’s statement.

The length of the sentence is not dependent on the duration of the crime, but on its severity and victim.

In the case of our sins, the wages (punishment) is death because the worst sins in God’s creation are the ones that go punished the least. Sins such as lying, pride, envy, malice, and sowing discord are hard to prove in human court, but God sees them clearly in our hearts and hates them (Prov 6:6-19).

Our crimes are severe, and they are perpetrated against the holy God of all creation and giver of life. This idea is what makes it worst to offend your father and mother than a stranger. Your father and mother are family and gave you life.

God has determined the sentence of our crimes to be death by everlasting destruction.

“Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power” – 2 Thess 2:9 (deniers of hell say this is translated wrong)

This is based on the severity of our crimes (extreme), who they are perpetrated against (a holy God), and the fact that life itself comes from the very one whom we have offended.

Choosing to serve anyone other than the Giver of Life means you will not possess the comfort, peace, and joy of life. In other words you will be in torment forever.

“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” – Revelation 14:11 (deniers of hell say this is translated wrong)

GOOD NEWS ABOUT JUSTICE

The good news about God’s justice is that in his abundant wisdom and grace has been able to meet out justice while saving sinners from this terrible sentence in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

The momentary act of Christ on the cross can atone for the sins of the world ...

The momentary act of Christ on the cross can atone for the sins of the world forever, because the atoning work was extreme. He put on humanity, innocently died as a criminal, and then defeated the power of death by his resurrection. This unlocks the door of salvation for every man.

Who he was also matters. He was not just another man, but God manifest in the flesh. He was eternal. That the eternal Son of God performed this act means his atonement has eternal consequences.

The severity of our crimes are atoned for by the extreme sacrifice of Christ. The offense against a holy God is appeased in the Son of God as our Saviour and great reconciler.

Men can be saved by the God of justice that meets out the equitable sentence, because he abounds in mercy and grace and fulfills all righteousness.

Hell is not unjust, but it is terrible. It commends God’s righteousness. God’s love is commended by Christ’s death while we were yet sinners. This, too, is the righteousness of God by grace. Hell is just, but so is salvation, and that to all who will believe the gospel of God’s grace.

Why the Old Man Hates To Read the Bible
by Justin Johnson

The most praised book that is read the least must be the Bible. People buy multiple copies and don’t even read it!

Every year a multitude of new books are published about the Bible which people are eager to buy.

Only a few of these are any good, but a lot of them are read because it is easier to read books about the Bible than the Bible itself.

Our old man hates reading the word of God, but loves to boast in man’s wisdom. Books about the Bible can be a trap to the flesh to ignore the Bible. Our carnal old man will vainly glorify the Bible as a book, but will neglect actually using it. Beware.

Romans 7:18 says that in our flesh is no good thing, and I believe it.

The Bible is not a product of the flesh, and it does not satisfy the flesh to use it. Our old man opposes the study of God’s words, choosing rather to read books written by great men instead of the one book written by the Almighty God and our Lord.

The old man needs to be reckoned dead, crucified with Christ. Our old man wants nothing to do with the book that preaches its own death. Inevitably, the old man robs people from studying the Bible and blinds them from seeing the truth about life in Christ.

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:11

When we see that in our flesh is no good thing, then we know that the same is true of every man and their books.

That the Bible is praised but not read is a sign that the old man is alive and well. Our old man will resist the words of the Bible when given the opportunity to trust in men’s words.

The Snare of Books

It may be said, “But there are helpful things in books written by men.”
Indeed, it is true that books serve a good purpose.

Reading good books can be helpful and profitable for a time, but never as a substitute for the one book that came from the mouth of God designed for your knowledge of the truth. Whereas many books are useful for reading only once, the Bible is only useful if read continually.

The snare of reading great works of men is the lie that there is some good in human wisdom. The snare of our vain flesh is to think that God’s words are no different than any man’s words. The Bible says the opposite: true wisdom is God’s wisdom; man’s wisdom is nothing. God’s wisdom is found only in the Bible.

“…the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” 1 Cor 1:25

All the treasures of wisdom are hid in Christ.

“In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.” – Col 2:3-4

The old man wants to declare that there is wisdom that it can produce. The Bible tells it to shut up and play dead (Rom 3:19).

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” – 1 Cor 3:19-20

The Bible is inspired by the Creator of the universe and is different than every other book on the shelf. No other book compares when your goal is to grow in wisdom.

5 Bible Cures for Christian Racism

Racism is defined by the Random House Dictionary as:

“A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement”.

The Bible is strongly against this false doctrine. According to the Bible there is only one lineage of men, sharing the same blood, all traced back to Adam, the son of God (Acts 17:26, Rom 5:12, Luke 3:38).

This has not stopped some Bible teachers (Custance [1], Jordan [2], Morris [3], Priest [4], et al.) from wrongly teaching that God has equipped certain races with inherent racial capabilities for higher intellectual and spiritual achievements.

This could be called Christian racism since it is taught by Christian brothers who invoke the Bible and God to defend the teaching of genetic boundaries of achievement on the races. Subtly different from the racism that stems from secular evolution, or the hateful violent variety that ends with mass slaughters, this kind of racism is shrouded in academic sounding language, anthropological apologetics, and speculative stories about Noah’s sons from the Bible.

Its irenic and Biblical sound makes racism taught by Christians all the more dangerous, since its spiritually sweet coating makes the pill of prejudice easier to swallow. The teacher may be friendly, but the teaching is still racism and is contrary to what the Bible actually says[5].

The truth is that no one is born with special racial capabilities or shortcomings. Rather, all men are born with human capabilities, and the Adamic shortcoming of sin. All mankind’s achievements, no matter of whom they are born, will fade like paint on an old Chevy (Isa 40:6-8).

“Hasn’t history shown that most of the spiritual/intellectual/inventive achievements have come from this or that race?”

Let’s say it again, a little differently. Whatever has happened in history, there is no genetic branch of Adam’s family tree that possesses inherent (genetic, racial, or otherwise) capabilities for higher intellectual or spiritual achievement more than another.

“But didn’t God choose one people, Israel, to separate from other nations and to rule over them?”

God created the nation Israel and gave them his promise for earthly dominion, but it was not because the sons of Shem, Abraham, and Jacob had superior racial capabilities for spiritual understanding (Deut 7:7). Israel’s promise to have dominion on the earth would be accomplished by God’s direct intervention, not because God chose the best race.

Israel’s history proves that God’s intervention was required for his promises to be fulfilled to bless all the nations of the world. Israel has failed to achieve it on her own. Christian racism is a farce and brings untold damage to the ministry of the body of Christ.

The Cures

The cure for racism is understanding the dispensation of God’s grace which tells us more about humanity and God than any other revelation in scripture.

God’s manifold wisdom would surely have the answer to such a problem as racism, but studying the Bible rightly divided is not on the radar of anthropology, nor Christians influenced by its arguments.

First, the characteristic of this dispensation is not human achievement, but the achievement of the Lord Jesus Christ by the cross (Titus 3:5). We receive all spiritual blessings in Him by faith, and not because of the genes we were born with.

Second, Israel is fallen. God choosing to work through Israel in the past was not racism. Nevertheless, Christian racism has been taught by twisting verses of separation given to separate God’s nation from sin, and applying them to races of people.

Since, Israel is fallen, there is no longer any nation or group that can wrongly or rightly claim to take hold of Israel’s promises (Rom 11:11). The fellowship of the mystery knows no race.

There is neither Jew nor Greek that has any inherent capabilities for wisdom, knowledge, or spirituality apart from Christ (Col 2:3, Col 3:11). Likewise, we all have the same depravity in sin, and none of us are born any less depraved than another (Rom 3:10-11).

Third, we are complete in Christ alone (Col 2:10). Anthropologists have said that humanity will not realize its full potential until we allow the races to work separately in their own supposed area of expertise.

The Bible says, we are complete in Christ, and our full potential will not be realized until we are complete in Christ by faith, not by our own achievements.

Fourth, we are to know no man after the flesh today, since we are all members of the same body (2 Cor 5:16-17). If this be true, then why would we need to separate each member by their flesh according to race? There is no such division in the Bible.

Fifth, we are instructed not to give heed to fables and endless geneaologies (1 Tim 1:4). Fables and endless geneaologies is what abound in the circles where the Bible is tortured to teach racism.

Racism reeks of Romans 1:22, and has led to all sorts of sins and prejudices. What is the cure for this false doctrine? Answer: the right doctrine of the fellowship of the mystery of Christ.

Before we can rid the world of this problem, we must rid the church of it. It is unbecoming God’s workmen.

It is time for God’s ambassadors of grace to provide the cure by making all men see the fellowship of the mystery of Christ (Eph 3:9), especially to those who don’t apply it to race.

Keeping Eternity In Mind
by Stephen Sebastian

(An important read for my Christian connections!)

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Begin with the end in mind."? It means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing your proactive muscles to make things happen toward that end. But often the ends we have in mind for our lives (and those with whom we interact) are far too short-sighted. We often act as if we forget that our lives actually will extend beyond the finite lives we are currently experiencing. As spiritual beings we will outlive our current bodies and live forever in eternity. So what would change if we were able to keep that end in mind, more often then not, as we live out our lives in these bodies that are destined to die?

As a Christian, I encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to please keep this very end in the forefront of your mind - not just for yourselves, but for all those with whom you come in contact. For you know there are only two places in which people will live out eternity - Heaven or Hell - and that the decision we make about the Lord Jesus Christ and what he accomplished on the cross (providing a means by which to forgive EVERYONE'S sin), during this life time, is what determines in which one we will spend that eternity. If you don't accept what cures, you don't have the cure.

Therefore, as Ambassadors of Christ, keeping this end in mind, may you truly live out what you have been given by God, that being made free from sin you are now servants of righteousness (Romans 6:18) and ministers of reconciliation, not by works, but by faith in what Jesus' death and resurrection has accomplished for us sinners - freedom from condemnation and the wrath of God, but instead peace and eternal life with Him! And may you earnestly help others to know Jesus and what he has done for them, that they too would believe and be saved. This is what our lives are truly for; this is how we do the will of God, and this is what will make the greatest impact in each person's eternity! So please, keep eternity in mind, each and every day.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

RECONCILING OR RECONCILED?

Might be hard to grasp for some, that’s why as a minister of reconciliation we believe;

God is NOT reconciling today, He HAS reconciled.

God is NOT forgiving today, He HAS forgiven.

God IS saving today, when you believe all that He accomplished on that cross was for you!

Believe the true saving Gospel, believe the truth, and be saved today!

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:1-4‬ ‭(KJV).

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:6-10‬ ‭(KJV)

The Most Important Thing You Can Do This Year! 👇👇👇

By Justin Johnson

You are one year older. The days are passing by. You may not have ever stopped to consider the brevity of your life. Now is a good time. The shortness of life undermines our plans and our pride:

“LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.” – Psalm 39:4

You don’t have time to lose. Your life is but a whisper, and the things that you have accomplished have not exceeded your expectations.

Worse yet, your life is not exactly the model of integrity. The law of God shining in your life shows sins of thought and deed. You have resolved to “be a better person”, but your resolutions continue to fall short.

Twisting the truth (lying) was justified when it made life comfortable for you. Your heart was busy desiring the better things of rich men (covetousness), and it consumed your time as you worked only to serve yourself (idolatry).

When your life is over you will stand before God to give an account of your life.

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” – Romans 14:12

Your attempts to make yourself “good enough” to pass God’s judgment are not good enough. You don’t have time to put your trust in self-improvement plans when your sins are staining your resume faster than achievements. The judgment upon just one sin will be “death”.

Make your first resolution this year to stop what has never worked and believe what will save your life from sins. You do not have time to waste. Here is the better way.

The one mediator between God and man secured payment for your sins 2000 years ago. Jesus Christ offered his sinless blood to satisfy God’s judgment upon your life.

If you put your trust in his blood as payment for your sins then you will be forgiven.

He resurrected from the dead and is alive today in heavenly places. If you trust his resurrection then you can partake in his life and live eternally without sin.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:2

Put your trust in Christ and stop trusting yourself to pay for your sins against God. Life is too short to wait for you to turn things around. Reckon yourself dead with Christ today and live your life this year in hope of eternity and not in dread of it.

Do it now! Be reconciled to God before another day passes. The most important thing you can do this year will only take a moment once you trust Christ to pay for your sins.

Then read Titus 3:3-8.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Another Day of Opportunity

I have been told that recognizing holy days is an opportunity to declare the gospel, so today I will take the opportunity!

The first day in a new year is traditionally named the Feast of the Circumcision by the Eastern Orthodox. It is the remembrance of the circumcision of Jesus on the eighth day of his birth in observance of the law of God.

The Roman church changed the name to the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary to remember her supposedly sinless role in doing the will of God, bearing Jesus, and having him circumcised.

The Episcopalians, and some Lutherans, call it the Feast of the Holy Name to emphasize the name declared at his circumcision.

Though this is the only Holy Day of Obligation that includes the blood of Christ it is not the blood that God would have the church declare.

The declaration of the church ought to be the gospel of the grace of God, which was not offered at his circumcision, known by Mary, nor spelled out by his name.

What is this gospel that saves today? That sinners can be saved by trusting the shed blood of Jesus Christ (by the cross, not by circumcision) and his resurrection to justify eternal life to all the ungodly that believe (Rom 3:25; Rom 4:5; Rom 4:25).

According to the mystery of Christ, Salvation does not require Mary (who was also a sinner), our obedience to the law, nor obligatory days of remembrance.

It does require his finished work on our behalf. This is called grace, and it is good news that is not the focus of today’s religious day unless someone who knows the gospel takes opportunity.

For His grace,
Justin "every day" Johnson
