Camp Cristero

Camp Cristero A Catholic Boy's Summer Camp in Northwest Indiana It is to form boys into young men, to be leaders of the Catholic Church and world.

Camp Cristero is an annual summer camp at Sacred Heart Apostolic School (Rolling Prairie, IN) for boys age 10-15. It seeks to lead them to Jesus Christ utilizing the historical setting of the Cristero War in early 20th century Mexico, when Catholics had to make heroic stands in defense of their faith, often at the cost of their own lives (Blessed Miguel Pro, Blessed Jose Luis Sanchez, etc). The Le

gionaries of Christ began this camp in June 2007. The activities have grown since then. Activities include talks and meditations in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, human formation, and intense sports and games that challenge the boy in the physical, and mental, and so much more. The boys are split into teams for a competition that runs all week, and stresses leadership, teamwork, and getting along with others. The overall goal is to search for God's will in the boys' lives, and to continue doing so for many years.
