Join us this Sunday, June 7, from 1:30-3:30pm, for our annual parish picnic on the Feast of Corpus Christi. We will have a great DJ playing a fun mix of music, inflatables for the kids, jump ropes, cotton candy & popcorn, and other games. The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart is back by popular demand. We will have seating and several tents for shade. You are also welcome to bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and food. If you ordered a meal from the Bean Bag Deli, come to our meal ticket table to check in and get your meal ticket/s. Each table will have fun ice breaker questions to encourage conversation and promote fellowship. Come on out and get to know your parish community! Location: back parking lot and field behind the church.

May is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of God and spiritual mother of all. Mother’s Day provides an opportunity to pray for mothers while honoring and seeking the intercession of Our Blessed Mother. It is a fitting day to ask God’s special blessing on all mothers. In our efforts to celebrate the vocation of motherhood, it is also important to remember that Mother’s Day can be a difficult holiday for many people: married couples struggling with infertility; parents who have lost a child; those who have lost their own mothers; couples longing to welcome a child through adoption; and women and men who are suffering because of their participation in abortion. Please pray for all mothers and all those who find Mother’s Day challenging. Our Lady, pray for us!

We were blessed to welcome 14 individuals into the fullness of the Church this Easter Vigil! These individuals ranged in ages between 7 and 50+ and each participated in OCIA (the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults). OCIA is a four-stage process of discernment and growth, made up of time for inquiry, learning, prayer and ongoing formation, which one goes through when entering the Church.

If you, or someone you know, are looking to either come into the Church, or to receive any missing Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation), please reach out to us on our parish website: https://stelizabethchurchmd.org/ocia

On Easter Sunday, the Church rejoices and contemplates the risen Christ. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (paragraph 638) says, The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ, a faith believed and lived as the central truth by the first Christian community; handed on as fundamental by Tradition; established by the documents of the New Testament; and preached as an essential part of the Paschal mystery along with the cross:

Christ is risen from the dead!
Dying, he conquered death;
To the dead, he has given life.

Our Youth Group had its Lenten Retreat recently. Our teens celebrated Mass, enjoyed food & activities, small group discussion, all night Eucharistic Adoration, and an opportunity for confession!

One participant noted, "I think the retreat was a great way to grow closer to these amazing people. I spent time with God and felt closer to Him, especially since we were given the opportunity to participate in all-night adoration and confession in the morning. It was a very special experience for us."

Please pray for our teens, that they grow closer to Christ every day.🙏😍

They were publicly authorized, blessed, and commissioned to serve in these ministries. Please join us in praying for our Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers and for all our dedicated, parish volunteers!

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10
