From a biblical perspective, there is no "new Israel." Rather, Gentiles who place their faith in Messiah are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel and are no longer strangers or foreigners to the covenants of promise.
As Paul writes: “Remember that at one time you were separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah.” (Ephesians 2:12–13, ESV)
The biblical picture is not one people replacing another, but the nations being brought near and joined to what God had already established. The continued existence of Israel as a people and a nation in the land that the LORD promised to Abraham stands as a testimony to God's faithfulness. The same God who keeps His promises to Israel is the God who keeps His promises to all who trust in Messiah.
