Beloved, as the hush of evening settles in, I invite you to lift your heart toward heaven—toward the One who ascended not to leave us, but to lead us.
“And when He had said these things, as they were looking on, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight.”
(Acts 1:9)
The Ascension is not the end of the story—it’s the exhale of glory after the victory of the cross. It’s Jesus, triumphant, returning to the Father, not in retreat, but in reign. He is not absent. He is enthroned.
💫 He didn’t rise to escape us—He rose to intercede for us.
At the right hand of the Father, Jesus is your advocate, your covering, your constant. His departure was not abandonment; it was enthronement.
The disciples watched Him rise with awe and ache. They had walked with Him, touched His scars, eaten fish by the fire. And now He was hidden by a cloud. But listen to His last words:
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:20)
That’s the promise that tethers heaven to earth. That’s the thread that holds our fragile faith steady.
So tonight, dear one, as you lay your head down, know this:
🌿 The Christ who rose still remembers your name.
🌿 The Savior who ascended still sends His Spirit to you.
🌿 The King who rules still knows what it means to weep, to hunger, to wait.
He went up, yes—but He didn’t let go.
He ascended still holding us.

🕊️ Evening Prayer
Jesus, High King of Heaven, thank You for ascending in glory but never leaving our side. Thank You for being our anchor in the unseen, our intercessor at the right hand of the Father. As I rest tonight, fill me with fresh wonder. May Your nearness silence my fear, and may Your Spirit stir boldness in me. Come, Lord Jesus, and reign in my heart. Amen.
