Happy Birthday Straight up Missions. Hard to believe it has been 7 years since we started.

We were able to have a friend who has a smartphone get Mama Daniel on a video call this morning. We did not realize it but Mama Daniel has been paying for the taxi for her and Soyian to go to dialysis twice a week for Soyian. Red Cross has not been running for almost 3 months and the burden has been on mama Daniel. I did not realize this and it is costing her 2 1/2 times her salary a month. She has sold even her animals to pay for the transport. We were able to send her some food money and pocket money today once we found this out. Soyian is not doing well at all and has had many tests done to see what the problem is. Mama Daniel told us Soyian is even struggling to walk. I am posting this to see if anyone would want to help Soyian and Mama Daniel with transport costs until Red Cross gets it together and starts again. I’m hoping that will be in the next couple months. Each taxi trip costs $17 and she has to go twice a week that’s $34 a week or $136 for the month. Also I would love to be able to replace whatever animals this sweet sister in Christ has sold to meet this need. What was even more amazing to me is she never asked us for help. The Abaco Island Bergs!!!

On Wednesday 29th August, 2023 our first grade students were in for a special treat! They visited Central Abaco Primary School's Library that was named after its first Librarian, Mary E. Cartwright. This would have been the first time in about 9 years, that the doors of the library were opened to recieve and welcome students. The students were elated as they were taught many Library Skills by Mrs. Mills (assistant teacher) under the leadership of Mrs. Lisa Berg. Special thanks to her and the originization Many Hands. They were instrumental in donating lots of reading books for our students. This books were needed, as so many of our reading books were lost in Hurricane Dorian. Students will be able to borrow books based on their reading age and stage. No child will be left behind as they embark upon this adventure in Literacy.

Greetings from Romania and blessing in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

It has been good to see the students come back to Iasi. We have seen the Lord do some good things and continue to pray for more to come.

Monica and I are planning a trip back to the USA around the first week of February 2022. We are looking forward in welcoming two new grandchildren into the world and seeing family before coming to several of our churches to share what God has been doing here. If you have any churches that would like us to visit, let us know and we will see if we can arrange something while we are back in the US. If anyone has a reliable car they can either let us use or buy, we will need transportation for our travels.
