We ask that you hold the family and friends of Anne Mahoney in the light.

Anne was a friend to all and will be greatly missed. The Brick Meeting Stewards would like to acknowledge Anne & Joe Mahoney for their contribution to preserving and ensuring the true history of William Penn’s Nottingham Lots and East Nottingham Friends Meeting (The Brick Meeting) will continue to be shared for many generations.

As we look forward to celebrating our 325th Nottingham Lots Celebrations we must remember that Anne planted a seed many years ago of hope for the stewards and future stewards to continue the legacy of preserving our local heritage. That seed has blossomed into a garden of knowledge for our community. When you visit The Brick Meetinghouse in Calvert, at the back of the building a beautiful monument was placed previously with a plaque of the Nottingham Lots, donated by the Mahoney family. We share our gratitude.

View Andrea Williams Mahoney's obituary, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

Hopefully you know about and have already marked your calendar to attend the celebration of the 325th anniversary of the founding of the Nottingham Lots. The affair will be held at Brick Meeting House in Calvert, MD the weekend of Sept. 26th and 27th.

The organizing committee will have available for purchase that weekend (at a very reasonable price) a 46-page booklet... an illustrated history of the Nottingham Lots, plus pictures of, and short narratives about, many of the early homes and other buildings. Surely you will want to attend and get a copy to keep and treasure.

Here is the booklet's front page:
