This Fall: The Book of Daniel
Set in the Babylonian captivity, the book of Daniel focuses on God’s sovereign control of heaven and earth, from beginning to end.

The familiar stories of Daniel 1–6 provide a great model for living a godly life in a hostile environment. Chapters 7–12 provide compelling pictures of God’s eternal, unshakable kingdom that will prevail, no matter how bad things seem at the moment.

Class members will be encouraged in the areas of prayer, persevering under trial, living wisely, and seeking God in troubling times.
Workbooks are provided.

Course Descriptions for Richmond Hill CBS Fall & Spring 2021-2022

Christian Leadership (Sep-Dec 2021)
Christian Leadership emphasizes the essentials necessary for a church to be united and grounded God’s truth. In these three letters to young pastors (1 and 2 Timothy, and Titus), Paul gave instructions for teaching sound doctrine, avoiding false teachers, and fostering an environment of spiritual health. Chronologically, 2 Timothy is the final letter Paul wrote. It offers a poignant picture of his vision, faith, and legacy.

Joshua (Dec-Jan 2021-22)
The book of Joshua picks up where Deuteronomy leaves off. After leading the Israelites out of Egypt and through 40 years of wanderings in the wilderness, Moses died. But God remained faithful to His promise. He appointed Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, where they would at last find rest in a place of their own.

Christian Living (Feb-May 2022)
This 12-week study of Philemon; 1, 2, and 3 John; and Jude contains plenty of practical guidance for living the Christ-centered life. The letters were written to encourage Christians to live lives of truth and love in the midst of cultures that did not necessarily embrace either. Class members will learn how to deal with false teachers, how to be sure of their salvation, and much more in this highly relevant course.
