e individuals who are specially gifted spiritually, and trains those people in the healthy and effective use of his or her spiritual talent, sense and gifts. YWAM Reno gives identity to, and mobilizes YWAM alumni who live in Northern Nevada. YWAM Reno provides safe housing for young christian individuals which provides an atmosphere of spiritual growth and personal development. We project the establishment of six homes within the next 10 years.

❗️❗️YWAM Reno, Nevada (USA) ANNOUNCEMENT❗️❗️ From YWAM Reno Director, Michael Sweazy :

In September of 2024, my mother was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease. In part to her being a widow, and also in part to not knowing how much time left we had with her, my wife, Angel Sweazy and I started praying about possibly moving closer to where she lives in Boston.

As we prayed, it became clear that my family needed to be close to her. I have taken a job at a Christian camp in New Hampshire. This was to keep in the calling God had put on us for loving God by leading young people into God’s design for their lives. At the beginning of this month, my family and I moved across the country to Jaffrey, NH.

YWAM Reno:
My wife and I have stepped down as Directors and there will be a team looking for a new Director. Emily had been praying for God's timing to go to Japan. Recently the Lord opened those doors for her and she has joined YWAM in Osaka, Japan. The Thomas’ had also been praying about God’s timing to go back to South Africa and recently God opened doors for them as well and they will be joining YWAM Muizenberg in Cape Town, South Africa. Sue felt God leading her back to YWAM Chico in Chico, California in June of last year and she has re-joined the team there. God’s timing seemed clear for this new season.

Even though these are big changes, we are excited for the new season and excited that everyone on our team is staying in full time ministry. There will also be an opportunity for me and my wife to continue Camp David, here in New Hampshire.

There is a possibility that Camp David Sierra Nevada will continue through YWAM Chico.

For those who want to keep in touch and keep updated in what God is doing in each of our ministries, or if you feel led to still support us through prayer and/or finances, please contact each of us directly.

Marius and Ann Thomas are still in Reno with Vertical Church and will be in Reno for a few more months as they prepare for their move to YWAM Muizenberg. They will also continue with Camp David in South Africa. Please message Ann if you are interested in current ministries in Reno/Sparks, Northern Nevada.

Daniel 3:17-28 "'If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.' Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.
