Good morning and many blessings to everyone 🙏.
Let us never lose sight of who we are, our hearts and our relationship with God. We get so busy and caught up trying to "Do what we believe to be the will of God" by focusing our attention on actions, doing good, continually serving those around us that we sometimes forget to focus on Him. Focus on who we are. Yes, serve others, serve Him but also remember He is your Redeemer the One who is the reason you do what you, and are who you are.
Some words for reflection today as I read them:
"Joy or sadness, war or peace, love or hate, purity or impurity, charity or greed, all are tremendous realities which are the hinges of our interior life. Everyday things relationships with other people, daily work, love of our family all these may breed saints.
Jesus of Nazareth taught us to live every hour of the day as saints. Every hour of the day is useful and may lead to divine inspiration, the will of the Father, the prayer of contemplation holiness. Every hour of the day is holy . What matters is to live as Jesus taught us.
And for this one does not need to shut themselves into a monastery or follow strange inhumane regimes . It is enough to accept the realities of life. Work is one of them, motherhood, rearing children, family life and all it's obligations are others".
(From Letters from the Desert by Carlo Carretto).
As you go about today giving thanks and praise for all your blessings 🙌may the Spirit which was in Jesus Christ be in me, enabling me to know God's will and empowering me to do God's will. Amen.
Reading for today is: Isaiah 40:9-11.
