This summer, we continue to explore the Psalms and to learn how to speak to our souls. This Sunday, Pastor Anderson invited us to 'turn our eyes upon Jesus' that we might see 'the things of earth grow strangely dim' in comparison.

A treasure of Christian faith, Helen Lemmel's "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus", was written in 1918. As we enter into the week, we encourage you to turn your eyes upon Him, to recalibrate, and to seek His face always. Amen.

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are!

His Word shall not fail you, He promised;
Believe Him and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Unity doesn't erase our differences.
It brings our differences together under Jesus.

The body needs you. You bring something I can't bring.
I bring something you can't bring.

What happens when God's people link arms?
The blessing flows outward.

Don't lose hope in unity.

God, unite us. Let it begin in me.

Joseph’s story didn’t look like God‘s plan.

The pit didn’t.
The false accusations didn’t.
The prison didn’t.

But God was still at work.

God never wastes your story.

What feels like a detour may be a place where God is forming you, positioning you, or preparing you for something you cannot yet see.

So don’t mistake a painful chapter for a forgotten promise. Seek His face. Remember His faithfulness.

“Seek His face always” - Psalm 105:4
