Knightdale United Methodist Church Knightdale UMC seeks to splinter the darkness in our neighborhood with the light of Jesus Christ. In 1917, the congregation known as KUMC was born.

Knightdale United Methodist Church (KUMC) is a community of faith thankful for its rich history and bright future in mission and ministry. In the late Nineteenth century, Methodism in Eastern Wake County included a congregation known as Oakey Grove Methodist Church which met in a small white frame structure that still stands today in the community of Shotwell. As the town of Knightdale incorporate

d and grew, the rural congregation noticed a need for a new church among the growing population there. Today, KUMC is still striving to move with God to be good neighbors and faithful partners in our community. KUMC now hosts its ministries from a new facility at the corner of Forestville and Old Crews Roads in Knightdale. We are growing as a community committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ and making it known that God's grace is for all people. Christ's table has room for you.
