⚔️✝️KNIGHT OF THE MONTH✝️⚔️

We are honored to have Sir Knight Randolph Dandry as our Knight of the Month for KofC 8840!

Please give Mr. Randolph a big Congratulations & Thanks for all he does for our Council, Church, & Community. Him and his wife, Mrs. Stephanie, have dedicated many years assisting at the Good Samaritan Food Bank in Raceland. They have been dedicated members of St. Hilary Church for many years. Their love for the needy is inspiring to many. Mr. Randolph is also the Faithful Navigator for our local KofC Assembly 1878 and Past Grand Knight for Council 8840. He is also a Veteran. We truly are Thankful for you being a member of our Council and Community.

Last night KofC 8840 held their annual Officer Installation for the new officers for the 2026-2027 Fraternal Year. It was a special nights because it was Father Bruce’s last meeting with our Council 8840. We have been extremely BLESSED to have him as our leader for 6 years and our council has grown tremendously in members and Faith. Thank you Father Bruce! Thanks to our District Deputy Jacob Verdin and State Warden Anthony Barbier for conducting the installation. Please pray for our new officers and directors that they can continue to lead the men of our community to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The following are our new members:

Come on out from 11:00AM-1:00PM Jambalaya, White Beans, Bread & Dessert for $12 a plate at the St. Hilary Multipurpose Building in Raceland. We are selling tickets on site if you didn’t buy in advanced. Making 200 plates come see if you can get us to sell out. All money collected is going to help support our Prison Ministry. Come help us feed Body & Soul of over 140 men at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Transition to Work Center.

As our nation prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11.

In response, the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux is inviting our communities to join in prayer for the unity, healing, and renewal of our country through Eucharistic Adoration. Our goal is to complete 250 Holy Hours from June 3-June 11 in honor of this historic milestone!

Saint Maximilian Kolbe reminds us “without sacrifice, there is no love.”

Today members of our KofC 8840, showed a sign of appreciation to all those Souls that have sacrificed for our country out of LOVE.

Many thanks to Brother Knights: Dylan Theriot, Nic Matherne, Randolph Dandry, Bruce Howes, Paul Curole, Wade Plaisance (Ruby Plaisance), John Dufrene (Desiree Dufrene) and Father Bruce for coming out to place flags and pray at all the graves of these faithful departed at St. Hilary & St. Anthony.
