This is something I struggle with at times - especially lately. When you and your faith and God himself are being disrespected to your face it’s easy to forget that the world will be the world. That people don’t see the world the way you do. But no matter how you are treated for your faith in Jesus, you must always treat the world as Jesus would. Do not react like the world because I am not of this world. I am part of the Kingdom of God. I pray that God helps me to be better in how I handle these interactions. 🙏🏼✝️🤍

It is with great sadness that my family announces the passing of my Nonno, Carmelo Acquista, on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

He was a beloved husband to my grandmother Maria, a wonderful father to his 4 children, and an amazing grandfather to me and his other 13 grandchildren.

He lived a full life for 87 years and was an incredible role model. The world will never know another like him. The memories I have with him will hold a special place in my heart and will be cherished forever.

A visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358:
Wednesday, April 10th from 6-9 PM
Thursday, April 11th from 2-5 PM & 7-9 PM

A funeral mass will take place on Friday, April 12th at 9:45 AM at St. Mel’s Church, 26-15 154th Street, Queens, NY 11354.

Burial will immediately follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 164-15 Booth Memorial Avenue, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365.
