Who do you say Jesus is? That was the question Jesus asked His disciples today. Not because He needed to know the answer, but because they needed to confess it! For from revelation comes confession, and from confession comes forgiveness, and from forgiveness comes life. Which makes the answer to this question pretty important!

Jesus walks on water, and Peter does too! For a little while, anyway. Then his fears get the best of him. Just like often happens with us. But Jesus is always there for us with His gracious, saving hand.

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, July 19th, at 2:00 pm.

We're hearing a series of parables from Jesus and this week is the Parable of the Weeds. Why is there evil in the world? Why doesn't God do something about it? (Hint: Maybe He did!) We'll consider our merciful and gracious God and His love for us this week.

More hard words from Jesus today. Jesus doesn't sugar-coat things for us - He tells it like it is! We need that. We need the truth. The ugly truth about ourselves, AND the wonderful truth about Jesus and all that He has done for us. And Jesus gives it to us, that we rely on Him for everything.

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, June 21st, at 2:00 pm.

It's been a while! But we're back for the next two Sundays. And we're going to hear some difficult words from Jesus, reminding us that we are in the church militant. As Christians in this world, life isn't going to be a bed of roses, but a struggle - both from enemies without and from the enemy of sin within our own selves! But we have the victory in Jesus. The battle can never be won by our own strength, only by His.

Our Next Service is this Sunday, May 24th, at 2:00 pm.

On this day we will celebrate Jesus fulfilling His promise to pour out His Holy Spirit in all His fullness upon the Church. Jesus died and rose for us, but without the work of the Holy Spirit in us, we could not believe. Our God who created us and redeemed us also sanctifies us! To Him be all the glory!

We continue in this second half of the Easter season to hear Jesus' promises to send the Holy Spirit to be with His Church after His ascension. He will not leave us as orphans! So we can have confidence even in the midst of the struggles of this world and life. Yes, for Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Right in the middle of the Easter season we hear familiar words announcing our Lord as our Good Shepherd. Primarily He is because He shepherds us not only for this life, but through death to life eternal. He is the only one who can! Join us to rejoice in his everlasting care!

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, April 5th, Easter Sunday-- the High Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord-- at 2:00 pm.

Our Lord who once was dead has burst to life from the dead, never to die again! And all who are in Him will rise to life the same. This is our hope and joy. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
