Hope Lutheran Church

10/24/2026

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, October 25th at 2pm, The Festival of the Reformation. 😊

It has been said that the church is always reforming. Is that true? If so, how? What does this church need to do in a sinful world? What is the Reformation really all about? Come remember and celebrate with us this important day in the life of the church, but even more in receiving the Gospel of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Hope to see you all this Sunday!

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, September 9th, at 2:00 pm. 🙂

How often do I have to forgive? Forgiveness is hard. Lots of forgiveness is harder! But the very nature of forgiveness is that it does not keep count or score. It is free and it is abundant, from Jesus to us and from us to others. That we not be burdened with sin, but live in the glorious freedom of Jesus!

Hope to see you all this Sunday!

Who do you say Jesus is? That was the question Jesus asked His disciples today. Not because He needed to know the answer, but because they needed to confess it! For from revelation comes confession, and from confession comes forgiveness, and from forgiveness comes life. Which makes the answer to this question pretty important!

Hope to see you all this Sunday!

Jesus walks on water, and Peter does too! For a little while, anyway. Then his fears get the best of him. Just like often happens with us. But Jesus is always there for us with His gracious, saving hand.

We're hearing a series of parables from Jesus and this week is the Parable of the Weeds. Why is there evil in the world? Why doesn't God do something about it? (Hint: Maybe He did!) We'll consider our merciful and gracious God and His love for us this week.

Hope to see you all this Sunday!

More hard words from Jesus today. Jesus doesn't sugar-coat things for us - He tells it like it is! We need that. We need the truth. The ugly truth about ourselves, AND the wonderful truth about Jesus and all that He has done for us. And Jesus gives it to us, that we rely on Him for everything.

Hope to see you all this Sunday!

Our Next Service is THIS Sunday, June 21st, at 2:00 pm.

It's been a while! But we're back for the next two Sundays. And we're going to hear some difficult words from Jesus, reminding us that we are in the church militant. As Christians in this world, life isn't going to be a bed of roses, but a struggle - both from enemies without and from the enemy of sin within our own selves! But we have the victory in Jesus. The battle can never be won by our own strength, only by His.
Hope to see you all this Sunday!

Our Next Service is this Sunday, May 24th, at 2:00 pm.

On this day we will celebrate Jesus fulfilling His promise to pour out His Holy Spirit in all His fullness upon the Church. Jesus died and rose for us, but without the work of the Holy Spirit in us, we could not believe. Our God who created us and redeemed us also sanctifies us! To Him be all the glory!

Hope to see you all this Sunday!
