A huge thank‑you to our St. Mary Parish community for your incredible support of Los Pobres in Avondale.
Your kindness helped fill an essential need for non-perishable food and staples at Los Pobres.
The center staff was deeply appreciative for the donations.
Thanks also to our great team of volunteers who delivered the items today.
This is what it looks like when we care for our neighbors in need.

Spring is upon us!🌹🌺🐝
The farmers in the county are preparing their fields for the new growing season. As we look forward to purchasing fresh produce and the smell of roasting chilis 🌶️, we need to remember that it takes a lot of work to get the produce to the table.
The Social Apostolate Committee has set our goal during April to assist Sr Nancy of Los Pobres in Avondale.
Many migrant workers and their families will be arriving in April to help our farmers with the many tasks it takes to run a farm.
We are asking our parishioners to help by donating non-perishable foods. Items most needed are flour, lard, rice, beans, tomato sauce, cereals, and easy-to-prepare boxed meals.
Items may be placed in the tubs located at the entrances of the church. If you would prefer to have us do the shopping for you, money donations will be accepted. Label your envelope with Social Apostolate and place it in the collection basket.
We thank you for your continued support as we reach out to help our Pueblo community.

The Resurrection meets a world that feels strained by conflict, uncertainty, and a deep longing for something solid. Jesus rises not apart from these realities but right in the midst of them, showing that God’s power is not undone by turmoil. His victory over sin and death gives us a place to stand when so much around us feels fragile.

Because He lives, we are called to be an Easter people who carry hope into places where hope seems thin. We are an Alleluia people, not because life is simple, but because Christ has already stepped into every darkness we face. This joy grows in hearts that know they have been held by a love stronger than fear. And as that joy takes root, we become signs to the world that the Risen Christ is still drawing all things toward life.

FOLLOW HIM FROM SUPPER TO RESURRECTION

The Triduum is the one great journey of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection, and the Church invites us to walk the whole path—not just a part of it. Each day opens a different door into the mystery of God’s love: the tenderness of Holy Thursday, the solemn beauty of Good Friday, and the explosive joy of the Easter Vigil. Taken together, they form a single movement of grace.

When we commit to all three days, we don’t just remember what Jesus did—we enter it. We share the meal where he gives himself, we stand at the Cross where love holds nothing back, and we rise with him into the new life of Easter. The Triduum is not three events to attend, but one saving mystery to inhabit.

This year, consider making the full journey. Let Christ lead you from table to cross to empty tomb. The grace is richest when we walk with Him all the way.

✝️ Lent Begins on Wednesday, February 18th

Lent begins on **Wednesday, February 18**, marking the start of a sacred 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and abstinence as we prepare our hearts for Easter.

Here’s a simple guide for the Lenten season:

🙏 **Prayer** — Spend intentional time with God each day.
🍞 **Fasting** — One full meal and two smaller meals that together do not equal a full meal (observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday for Catholics ages 18–59).
🐟 **Abstinence** — No meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays during Lent (observed by those 14 and older).

Those who are ill, pregnant, or otherwise unable are excused.

Join us at **St. Ann’s Catholic Church** as we begin this holy season together and prepare our hearts for Easter.
