Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton (UUCP)
http://www.uuprinceton.org The adults stay together in worship for a deeper experience of reverence.

Each week we gather to be inspired, seek beauty, and experience community in our multi-generational and spiritually-diverse religious home. On a typical Sunday, we all worship together for a brief time, and then our younger ones go to church school where they learn about justice, compassion, acceptance, and other values we share. And after the service, we gather as one community again for a time o

f fellowship and enrichment. And that's just on Sundays! Our active and vibrant Unitarian Universalist congregation has many wonderful programs and events throughout the month. Newcomers are always welcome. Please check UUPrinceton.org for more information. Sunday Worship and Children's Religious Education is at 10:30 a.m. throughout the year.

June is Pride Month, when the flowering of LGBTQ+ community is often at its most visible and vibrant. But year round, the work of finding one’s “people” goes on in multiple quiet and profound ways. The concept of a “chosen family”, so important to q***r culture, can have a special resonance to us as UUs overall. We search, ever onwards and wider, outwards and over generations, for our covenantal beloved community. But just as importantly, how do we do the emotional and relational work to keep them by us when we’ve found them? Join the UUCP Rainbow Ministry as we explore these questions through prayer, reflection, story and music.

The great Gwendolyn Brooks wrote, “We are each other’s harvest; We are each other’s business; We are each other’s magnitude and bond.” In this, she urges us to resist the lure of hyper-individualism and its resulting loneliness and isolation and instead build our sense of self in ever-connected, interrelated ways. Well-aligned with our faith, this sentiment leads to a fuller life that is lived for the common good.

What does it mean to leave one religion and join another? For many Unitarian Universalists, sometimes referred to as “Come Outers,” experiences in earlier faiths shape engagement in and perception of the newer one. This shifting dynamic, explored gently, can lead to greater understanding.

Our service today is co-created by our children, youth and the adult leaders who guide them in their Sunday morning gatherings. Our young people will light our chalice, share the Wonder & Wisdom story, and reflect on their experiences this past year. Join us as we celebrate their (and our) growing wisdom, centered in love.

Religion usually adopts a critical approach toward technological innovations, often raising up important ethical and spiritual questions about how various changes will impact us individually and collectively. Such is occurring right now in the rapidly advancing world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). What guidance does our faith and theology offer us for living in these new times? And … Happy Mother’s Day! This service will include an honoring of the moms and mothering presences in our lives.
