It's totally okay. I stepped away from all those social expectations years ago, and I'm **so** much happier for it. I really can only speak to my experience: The fact that even severely disabled parents✋ still recieve pressure to keep up with the traditions is very telling about our societal expectations and how unreasonably rigid they can be. A happier, less stressed mom brought more calm to the whole house. ❤
