Good afternoon Friends, our 16th Annual Mylee’s Missions Christmas Event was a wonderful opportunity to meet with & share Christmas & the love of Jesus with 753-plus very special guests. December 6, 2025 was a cold morning but there were a lot of warm smiles & hearts. Volunteers helped park our guests while others numbered each vehicle in the parking lot, gave guests in each vehicle fresh-baked cookies & took information on each one in the vehicles & sent that information to volunteers in the Clark Athletic Complex so they could fill huge bags with gifts & have them ready to deliver when our guests pulled-up beside the Clark Athletic Complex. Children were given books to read while they were in their vehicles. Miles & Ashley Ferguson welcomed everyone & shared a Christmas message of hope with our guests while they waited in their vehicles. When they finished, vehicles were directed by volunteers to form a line from the parking lot, around The Second Presbyterian Church & pulled up at the side doors of the Clark Athletic Complex where the large bags of gifts & more were brought out to each guest. Children ages 2-12 received Gifts, Blessing Boxes, Christmas Event Sweatshirts, new Winter Coats, bags of Christmas items, and more. A volunteer from the Gideons gave each child a New Testament Bible. Parents with infant babies were given an Infant Care Bag with baby lotions, shampoo, blankets, pacifiers, baby wipes, pampers, and more. Each family received a bag of groceries, a ham, & some money to help with their gasoline.
We want to thank the wonderful volunteers who worked hard to make this day special for our guests. There were 73-plus volunteers from 11-different churches who helped prepare everything before it was delivered to & set-up in the Athletic Complex, worked the day of the Christmas Event, & helped clean-up, load, & transport what was left. Saturday December 6th was a special time for everyone to block out the distractions around us for afew hours & share the love of Jesus with our special guests.
We also want to thank the Churches, Businesses, Organizations, & individuals who made this year’s Mylee’s Missions Christmas Event possible. Because of your support, we were able to provide for every infant, child, & adult guests that attended this year’s Christmas Event. A sincere thanks to the Portsmouth City School Board for allowing us to use the Clark Athletic Complex & High School parking lots once again this year. We also want to thank the Portsmouth Police Department for their help as well.
We want to wish each of you a Very Merry Christmas & hope you take the time this Christmas season to thank God for the special gift of His Son Jesus, who came as a newborn baby over 2,000-years ago. Remember that Jesus is the reason for this season!

Hello Friends, we are getting everything together for our 16th annual Mylee’s Missions Christmas Event taking place on Saturday, December 6, 2025. We will be doing a Christmas Drive-by again this year, at the old Portsmouth High School Gymnasium at 8th & Waller Streets. We will be providing gifts, new coats, Christmas sweat shirts, blessing boxes, cookies, Bibles, & more for Children ages 2 thru 12 years old who attend this year’s Christmas Event. We will be giving out bags of groceries & a ham to each family present who brings their Children or Grandchildren to the Event. Families with infant babies will receive an infant care bag full of baby lotions, shampoo, powder, a blanket, pampers, baby wipes, & more.
We will begin at 10:30 that morning in the 9th Street parking lot behind Portsmouth High School. You can enter the parking lot at the 8th street entrance from 8:30 to 10:30AM Saturday December 6. Once the lot is full, Police will close off the entrance but those that didn’t get there in time can come back around 11:45 & the parking lot will open up for the second & final group to attend this year’s Christmas Event. Our volunteers will be going from car to car to get information on each child & adult, number each vehicle, & take the information to workers in the old gymnasium where Christmas Bags will be filled for each child. These Christmas Bags along with bags of groceries & the ham will be ready to bring out when the cars pull up beside the old Gym. Restrooms in the old Gymnasium are available for everyone. Just enter the glass doors on the 8th street side of the old Gym.
Guests must be in their vehicles in the parking lot at 10:30, when the Mylee’s Missions Founders Miles & Ashley will welcome everyone & share a Christmas message of hope while guests remain in their cars. After Miles & Ashley finish, they will provide directions on where to go from there. Volunteers will be helping everyone form a line & drive around the church and onto the lot beside the old Gym where Christmas Bags, groceries, & more will be brought out to each vehicle. Miles & Ashley will be welcoming & sharing with the second group at 12:30. Prior to that, volunteer will be getting information on the children & adults in each vehicle so everything can be ready when the second group drives by the old Gym. Those who walk to the event will need to go to the parking lot where their information will be gathered. Then they can walk to the old Gym to receive the Christmas Bags, groceries, hams & more.
Guests can only drive through the event one time, so we can have enough for everyone.

When they finished, the vehicles formed a line from the PHS Parking lot, around Second Presbyterian Church and pulled up to the doors at the old PHS Gym where gifts and more were brought out to each guest. Those who didn’t get on the parking lot can go back home & return at 11:50 AM, or go to the 4th street parking lot behind the Elementary School to wait until the High School parking lot opens back up around 11:50 AM for the second group.
Our volunteers will be going to each vehicle in the High School parking lot to get information on each child & adult, number each vehicle, & take the information to the old PHS High School Gymnasium where volunteers will gather the gifts together for each vehicle & have it ready for the guest when the vehicles pull up to the side doors at the old gym. When they finish, they will provide directions where to go from there. Once the parking lot has cleared out, the Police will allow vehicles in the Elementary School parking lot & those who did not get in the first group, to enter the High School parking lot. This will be the second group. Volunteers will be numbering the vehicles & getting information on those in each car. Miles & Ashley will welcome the second group & share a Christmas message of hope to this group. When they finish, they will give the second group instructions on what to do. This will be the last group going through the Christmas Event. Guests can only attend one of the Christmas Drive-by Events, so we can have enough for everyone.
