16 months!
LOTS of prayers! LOTS of tears! Moments of obedience. Moments of disobedience 🥴
Joys & Sorrows. Losses & Gains. Victories & Defeats. Lessons & Failures. Growth & Set Backs. But that’s life right!
A lot of “why” experiences I had in my 20s & 30s have absolutely harvested their reasonings over the past 16 months!
I received my first set of retail keys on May 31, 2025, hosted SoMd Sugar Show in August 2025, opened The Sweet Little Shop by September 2025, moved into a larger space by January 2026, and preparing for so much more to come for 2027 and beyond! All the while continuing to homeschool Aiden, celebrating birthdays, a graduation, our 20th anniversary, the loss of a pet, and cake orders in between.
Old systems no longer work. Still learning new systems. Learning that “Boundaries” is not a bad word. Learning not to give away the power God is trying to instill in me. Learning that moving in silence is a blessing. Learning not to take the short end of the stick. Learning that my No, is a full sentence. Definitely less sleep 😂 But absolutely more Prayers & absolutely more faith!
And to add the cherry on top! We are celebrating it all on what would have been my grannies 96th birthday. She has been gone for a little over 10 years this year, and I still think of her Daily!! Wishing she could see all that has come. But tomorrow feels so poetic! 🥹 I’ll be sure to get a picture on her bench that sits on the Shops porch. And snag a quick selfie in her mirror that hangs behind the counter. 🥰
I can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
