Word and Worship is a charismatic prayer group. The mission of the group is to foster deeper relationships with Christ through the power and workings of the Holy Spirit. At Word and Worship prayer meetings, emphasis is placed on seeking an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us, just as He poured Himself out upon the Apostles. The Holy Spirit's charisms, that is, gifts and manifestations, are praye

rfully sought after. At these prayer meetings, you can expect to hear God's word, pray for others, hear powerful testimony and sing your heart out to God! Through this Baptism in the Holy Spirit, we seek conversion and sanctification, so that we can then go out and play our role in salvation history. For the manifestations of the Spirit are not gifts for us to keep to ourselves. We are called to use them for the glory of God and the building up of His kingdom. As the Spirit pours Himself out to us, so must we pour out ourselves to others. As we are sanctified, we are called to serve God and His Church.

Word and Worship is still alive and well today as it was when it started in October of 2013. We still worship with contemporary Christian music. We read scripture and share what the Holy Spirit is revealing to us through the scripture in our lives at that moment. We conclude the night with praying for other people in our parish and in the world. It's so peaceful and meaningful. Each night is like a small retreat on its own. I invite everyone from any Christian denomination to come. No one has ever walked away from a Word and Worship night without carrying with them the presence of God revealed and feeling the love of God. Word and Worship is every Tuesday night at 7:00pm at St. Joseph's Church in Ponchatoula. Love to experience the presence of God with all of you!

Prayer is our most powerful weapon against evil and to commune with God. Remember we are in the world not of the world and we need more than ever to commune with our Lord with prayer and reflection every day. Please read scripture everyday.

Tonight is Word and Worship in the chapel at the main church. We start for 7:00pm but some people come for 6:40pm to say the rosary in the main church. Come worship with us and let scripture speak to your life.

Can't wait for the Ministry fair after the 8:00 and 11:00 mass this Sunday to let people know how wonderful Word and Worship is Tuesday nights at 7:00pm in the chapel. A mini retreat every week.

Word and Worship is for everyone who is a follower of Christ who wants to pray openly, feel the peace of Christ and discover the message of Scripture. It also is a place to help develope the gifts the Holy Spirit has given. Word and Worship is also the center of intercessory prayer for St. Joseph church and all who will participate.

The Lord is leading us to a deeper relationship with Him whereby we love more through His eyes and not our own. He is leading us to free people from those strongholds that the enemy bonds people to. Unbound ministry is alive and well at St Joseph and Holy Ghost.
