God is not jealous for us because he is in need of us.

God is self-sufficient; He has no need. But, He has a desire for a people. And in that desire for a people, he would send forth Christ to bear the judgment of sin and purchase a people that the Father Himself had loved. He would purchase for himself a bride and enter into a covenant union to have his people radically set apart, all for the glory of God.

The majestic aspect of God's holiness shows how absolutely separate and distinct he is from any and all of his creation.

A tiny little bug in comparison to the size of the sun still does not describe the distance between God and man. We serve a holy God who is to be revered and honored.

God is a jealous God. As believers, we are bought, chosen, and made to be God's own. We cannot know a greater treasure than to walk with our King.

Choose today to set your eyes on our good God and put aside lesser loves.

God isn't just "loving" -- He IS love.
This is true because God is triune. The Father, Son, and Spirit have been in perfect loving fellowship with one another for all eternity. Never was our God lonely or isolated. We worship the one who is in himself love.
