For the past few years, our UMW have tremendously enjoyed the Women's Retreat at Olmsted Manor, western PA's United Methodist retreat center. If you've never been there before, it's a wonderful experience: a beautiful hillside estate in the woods of the Allegheny National Forest, crossed by creeks and waterfalls, and offering great accommodations and home-cooked meals.

And there's no better time to go than mid-October, the peak of the changing leaves! Consider joining the Women's Retreat this fall for a chance to get away from the city and reconnect with God.

Also coming up this fall are a Nature and Spirituality Retreat, and a Four-Day Silent Retreat. Check Olmsted's page for more info.

Reminder: tonight's our last community picnic of the summer!

Come hungry—the Spencer UMC picnic is this evening, 5:30-7:30.

Hot dogs, cold drinks, and of course live music are covered. If you’re able, bring a side dish or dessert to share, but most importantly, just bring yourself. Family, friends, and neighbors are always welcome.

We'll be inside if it's raining!

It's that time, when we start looking at who will lead the church in the year to come! If you are interested in a position, or just curious about how you might serve (or if your term on something is over and you’re ready to rotate), please reach out.

Here's a helpful reminder of what the main committees do. These decisions are very important as we serve God as best we can, so please keep the process in your prayers, and consider what God is calling you to in this moment!

Unfortunately some gale-force winds last week thwarted our plans to have our first summer picnic of the season outdoors, but we had a good time indoors anyway, featuring some music by Dan McCay and a singalong with Dave Graham! It's always a great time to get together and we love having new guests.

Join us next month, on Thursday, July 16th, from 5:30-7:30!

We're hosting tonight's community Lent service! Join us at 6pm for worship, then stick around for dinner with neighbors and friends.
