"He isn’t here, because he’s been raised from the dead, just as he said. Come, see the place where they laid him."

Welcome to worship as we observe the Easter season, the fifty days after Jesus' resurrection. Christ is risen!

We will be CLOSED this Sunday. Stay safe!

At this point, the weather forecasts are unanimous: the heaviest snow of the coming storm will be hitting right in time for church.

We hate to cancel worship, but in the interest of safety, we will be closed this Sunday, January 25th. Stay warm and safe!

Keep an eye on the South Hills Partnership page and sign up for Flocknote updates to ensure you know if we have to close for inclement weather!

As you know, Pittsburgh is projected to get anywhere between zero and seventeen feet of snow this weekend.

As you prepare for church on Sunday, we will announce if there will be closures or changes. That would be posted here on the South Hills Partnership page.

If you are signed up for Flocknote, you will receive a text message and email telling you of the cancelation.

If you are not signed up for Flocknote or if your information needs to be updated, please do so by texting SHPUMC to 84576 or visiting shpumc.flocknote.com.

No post, email, or text means that we will be OPEN... but that you should make the safest decision for yourself when deciding whether to travel to church.

The world around us can feel heavy, but for one hour on Christmas Eve, inside these doors, we gather to welcome the Light that the darkness cannot overcome.

Join us at Spencer UMC at 9:00 PM on Christmas Eve to celebrate the story of Jesus' birth with carols and candlelight. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or you’re just looking for a place to belong, you are welcome.

It was great to have our neighbors from other Brentwood-Carrick area churches join us for our Advent service and dinner on Wednesday! We always enjoy the chance to get together.

Be sure to come next Wednesday at 6pm as St. Peter's Episcopal Church hosts our final gathering of the season!

In this time of significant need in our community, we know that many families make use of our food pantry outside.

You may not know that some of what we are able to put out at Spencer is overflow from the Brashear High School food pantry, which Megan Perfetti helped start not long ago.

Brashear's food pantry was featured this week on NPR.

The food pantry at Brashear High School is open once a week, and each student gets about five minutes to shop. Any snacks they don't take often go to teachers, to offer to hungry pupils.
