Widows Friendship Circle will have their luncheon and meeting at Armstrong’s Restaurant in Moon Township on Wednesday, September 5 at 1:00 PM. Call Doris or Carol for reservations by Saturday, September 1. We will meet at St. Malachy parking lot for those who need rides and leave by 12:15 PM.

An informational meeting for anyone interested in becoming an usher or greeter at weekend Masses is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11 at 7:00 PM in the church. This ministry is for members of the parish age 16 and older. Plan to be a part of this ministry to serve at the weekend Mass you attend and come to this meeting. EWTN’s Women of Grace Program will begin Wednesday, September 19. This program for women will offer all women of the parish a time to renew their Catholic faith. Please contact the Parish Office to register for this exciting program.

The first session of the adult bereavement group will begin on Thursday, September 13 in the Parish Office Meeting Room at 10:30 AM with an evening session at 7:00 PM. There will be seven sessions. We are so excited to have begun our 2012-2013 school year with a school full of smiling faces! We are especially happy to welcome 16 new families. This year we plan to continue the tradition that we started last year of having a different grade level or group featured each week in our church bulletin and the web site. Special thanks goes to Mrs. Pfeifer who chairs this effort on behalf of our school. We hope everyone enjoys reading about our successes and joys!

Slavjane is a cultural organization that is financially sponsored by the Greek Catholic Union and is designated as the official culture representative of Carpatho-Rusyn culture in the United States by the Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan Archeparchy of Pittsburgh. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 8 at the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church on 225 Olivia Street at 4:00 PM. After the liturgy, join Slavjane for a pot luck picnic in the school gym. There will be music and dancing by the Slavjane members.
