This will be an annual showcase to promote and build talent in in the Greater Pennsylvania (PA, OH, NY, and WV) region for musicians, by musicians. This is not a batt

le of the bands but a showcasing of talent. How many tickets you can sell your family or how many friends show up to see you play this one time will have no determination which band wins. Celebrity panel of judges will pick a winner based on points per category. Contest will be judged solely on these 4 categories: songwriting, musicianship, live performance, and crowd reaction, that’s it! Winner takes all PennRock Scholarship includes:

• More prizes to be announced soon! This list will grow! Bands: 12 bands will be selected to compete via online submissions ending July 15th In Pittsburgh, Pa. Four per week the 1st 3 weeks, winners compete week 4. Artists and bands must send press kit info to [email protected] by July 15th.

4. Aug 30th Finals at Altar Bar – Pittsburgh, Pa

Contest Rules as follows:
• Must submit by July 15th, 2014 for consideration: Name of act, any audio, video, social media links, website info available (put your best foot forward!) to [email protected]
• Each act will be given 20 minute to perform 3 original songs, and one original interpretation of a Beatles song in celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles live performance in Pittsburgh in 1964.
• Artists must be available to perform in Pittsburgh on any of the selected dates including grand prize.
• Original compositions must be exclusive rights to artist written by the artist performing them.
• You do not have to sell any tickets, but you will be expected to help promote your showcasing opportunity.
• All applicants must be 21 years of age. This is an opportunity for an artist or band to get some help taking their musical career to the next level. If you think you have a hit song, we want to hear it and want award you the 1st annual
