Rabbi Bisno and TOS in collaboration with Classrooms Without Borders will be hosting Unpacking Israel Update.

On seven Sunday mornings from 10:30am-noon, October '26 through April '27, this discussion series will be led by Classrooms Without Borders’ Scholar in Residence Avi Ben-Hur.

The first date is October 11 and the topic is : How Did We Get Here? : Israel, Zion, and the Jewish Story (Part I)

In case you missed it: the Board voted unanimously to extend Rabbi Aaron Bisno’s contract with Temple Ohav Shalom, Below, temple president, Sam Jacobs, officially seals the deal with Rabbi Bisno.

Over the course of the rabbi’s first two years with our congregation, Rabbi Bisno has helped bring renewed energy, vision, and vibrancy to our community through inspiring worship, thoughtful teaching, expanded programming, and meaningful relationship-building across every generation of our TOS family.

We look forward to what this new year will bring!

The Temple Ohav Shalom Center for Early Learning is having a Silent Art Auction the week of May 18-22, with bidding closing at noon on Friday, May 22nd. All of the pieces of art in the auction are collaborative pieces made by our current TOSCEL students.

Proceeds from the auction will go towards refreshing the supplies and materials for our amazing Studio.

Pittsburgh Mercy - Bethlehem Haven hosted a volunteer appreciation luncheon on April 19. Julia and Greta (and their children) were honored to attend on behalf of the social action committee. Social action provides bagged lunches for the organization through our Sandwich Sunday program. So proud of their efforts!
