The Feast of the Assumption, August 15
In our earlier days August 15 or the Sunday closest to August 15 many of us entered the novitiate, made temporary profession, and professed final vows. In 1971, 1972 and 1973 the Sisters were permitted an experimentation to professed their final vows in their home parish.

Today we gathered together for the afternoon to talk about our receptions and professions, we shared pictures, remembered those who have entered the heavenly banquet and were classmates, and played games. The discussions and sharings continued over dinner. It was a relaxing afternoon.

Sunday's, 8/2/26, storms created a rainbow over the Motherhouse, Some interesting facts about the rainbow are: Symbol of Hope and Promise: Rainbows represent God’s covenant of never flooding the earth again, emphasizing divine mercy and faithfulness (Genesis 9:13-15).

INSTALLATION OF SISTERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT NEW LEADERSHIP TEAM

On Sunday, July 12, 2026 our new Leadership Team was installed by Bishop William Watersheid, D.D. our chaplain, for the next four years. The Leadership Team consist of Sister Diane Smith, General Superior, Sister Donna Smith, Assistant General Superior, Sister Cindy Ann Kibler, Councilor, Sister Cynthia Wessel, Councilor and Sister Madeline Horning Councilor. Following the Eucharistic Liturgy Bishop Waltersheid joined the Community for dinner.

Sister May Lou enjoyed her bithday on Tuesday, July 7. Sister Mary Lou is our oldest member at the ripe age of 93.
