Through fellowship, prayer, and loving support, women come to know who God created them to be, and by walking in the principles of that new identity, they are able to establish transparent, godly friendships that will last a lifetime. As one woman said, “Being part of an Aglow Bible study gave me the confidence to step into who God wants me to be as a woman.” (from aglow.org)

Well it has been a long while since I posted anything. Just have a few thoughts tonight. First, God is still on the throne. He has not abdicated to anyone or anything. In the craziness around us these days, some may question that statement. However, God is sovereign, just, and loves us even when we are unlovable and act ugly. He is unchangeable and His Word is solid and true. Jesus came to this earth to be God with us, to be flesh and blood, to be close to us, eat with us, share our pain and rejoice with us in happy times. Then He took upon himself our sin and died an awful death for us. The Bible says that He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made righteous in Him. He was buried, but death wasn't strong enough to hold Him. He rose victorious from the grave after He had taken the keys of hell , death, and the grave from Satan. It would seem that would have been plenty for Him to do, but He wasn't finished. After spending some time with His friends, He said it was time to go back to His heavenly home. But he left them some instructions first and let them know that He needed to go so He could send the Holy Spirit to be with to be with them and in them. He let them know that with the Holy Spirit they would be able to do the same things He did and even greater things.

I will repeat myself, God is still on the throne and has all things in control. Our call is to believe, trust, obey, love like He loves and do those greater works for His glory. We must die daily to our will and yield to His. It is easy to put ourselves or other people or things on the throne of our heart. The Bible says to examine ourselves, to check our hearts and motives. and to repent when He shines a light on an area where we need to change. Because of His great love, He doesn't want anything to hinder us from from having an awesome relationship with Him. Praise His Name forever!!!

Call to prayer, intercession and praise: God is the creator of everything including the sun and the moon. Tomorrow is the first day of summer. The deceiver, who never created anything, but likes to hijack and pervert God's creation would like to cause problems tomorrow night. Let's lift up the power of the Name of Jesus to the glory of God and declare His majesty, might and dominion over anything the enemy tries to do not only tomorrow, but in the days to come. This foe has no teeth and is defeated, but he is persistent. So let us be all the more steadfast in faith and confident in the knowledge of who we are in Christ and the authority we have been given through Him. God bless you! Susan

Happy New Year! 2019 is a memory. 2020 is here. I don't know about you, but I want to be a vessel God can use. A clean vessel!! I had a wake up call on some of my attitudes, mind set, and reaping some words that should not have been sowed. It is not comfortable when that happens. It is, however, needful so that we can repent, turn, and let God cleanse and change us into a clean vessel He can use. We can't change the past and we don't have tomorrow promised. Today is the only day we have. So take time to search your heart and take care of anything that would keep you from serving God and walk on into 2020 knowing God has a good plan for your life. He is faithful to forgive. Merciful beyond our understanding. God is our good, good Father and He loves us unconditionally. Find joy in each day, dear friend.
Your friend from Pittsburg Aglow.

October already! My how quickly this year has gone by. Through the seasons of time and whatever season you are in now God remains constant. His plans and purposes will come to pass. Are you an excited, willing participant in His plan for you. Are you a heavenly Kingdom builder or is it all about you? These are questions we need to consider, dear ones. It is a time to examine ourselves and ask our Father to show us if there is anything we need to clean out and repent of. Our prayer "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me." May His grace, mercy and peace surround you today.

Kay Wright will be sharing at Pittsburg Aglow at the Homer Cole building on the 3rd. Tuesday of this month at 7:00pm. Come and be blessed!!

Here is a followup devotional from Pastor John:

Stewardship – Matthew 25:14-30
Most people when they think of Stewardship or they read Matthew 25:14-30 they tend to think of money. Matthew 25:14-30 is about much more than that. Don’t get me wrong. God does want you to be a good steward of your finances. You need to be able to supervise and take care of the income that you receive. We need to use it to take care of ourselves and others. Lack of financial stewardship can lead to much more sinister outcomes than an empty bank account. Stewardship and Matthew 25:14-30 are about everything that God gives us as a resource.
If God gave you a quick, agile, and creative mind that is a resource that you need to be a good steward of. God expects to use that mind and develop that mind for Him. If God gave you physical abilities that is a resource. You are to use your physical abilities in such a way as to give God the glory and as a vehicle to reach others for Him. If God gave you children … yes they are a resource. You are expected to raise them to know God. You are expected to give them a Godly and loving home. You are expected to teach them to honor God. If God gave you musical talents you are expected to develop them to honor God. Your time is a huge resource that we tend to be very poor stewards of. Your age is even a unique resource that can be used for furthering God’s kingdom. The list can go on and on.
We are not expected to hide our God given resources, but to share them. We are uniquely blessed and gifted to be able to reach others for God. Being a good steward will let you affect someone else in God’s name in a unique way that only you are capable of.
What have you been blessed with to be a steward of by God? It may be something you did not even realize you needed to be a steward of. Take a moment and think about “What resources have I been given?” “What does being a good steward look like for me and what I have been given?” Pray that God’s Holy Spirit guides you in being a good steward and that He brings people into your life that you can “share” your resources with.

Excellent article!

In a time when only about half of marriages survive the test of time, it’s important to be extremely careful about where you get your relationship advice from. Between tabloid magazines that want to sell you phony dating advice to make a few bucks, blockbuster rom-coms that sell you happily-ever-a...

Happy Monday,
God is still on the throne! That was my thought a minute ago and is true. Then, I had that little check, do I always let Him be God on the throne of my life? We used to sing the song that said something like " Jesus be the Lord of all the kingdoms of my heart". If I am honest, I have areas in my life that I rule over. Sometimes I am not aware of that, maybe because it is some established pattern or mindset that I have had for years, and do not even realize that I have not let God have that place of Lordship there. God is so kind and loving that He will continually work with us to point out these areas and give us opportunity to surrender to Him. It is not always easy to do that, friends, but oh how freeing and sweet when we do! Let the King have His place today in an area of your life that you have been struggling to control yourself. He is not going to fail you. Trust and obey.

Hope to meet you at Aglow on the third Tuesday of the month, 7:00pm at Homer Cole in Pittsburg.

Have a blessed day!

God is good all the time!! Last night at our monthly Aglow Lighthouse meeting the presence of the Lord was so sweet and strong. He is always with us, but it is so awesome when the anointing oil of His presence flows over us, isn't it! The ladies that went to the regional conference in Topeka this past weekend brought back some overflow of blessings they received there. At last night's meeting, Vicki Taylor led in praise, worship and word and we were blessed. Thank you Vicki! I repeat, God is good all the time!

If you are struggling in any area or situation in your life, I encourage you to give it to the Lord. He loves you and He said in His Word to cast our cares on Him for He cares for us! He is our faithful, loving Father. Trust Him, humble yourself before Him, submit your will to Him, He knows what you need right now! Like the old hymn says, "Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey".

In trust and obedience, be blessed!!
