SonShine & Blessings

SonShine & Blessings We share the love of Christ with the people of our community by providing Adult Care and Transportation Services, and Music Education for all ages.

SonShine & Blessings (SS&B), founded in 2004 as a 501c3 non-profit Christian organization, is located between Pittsboro and Siler City, NC. Our goal is to assist the elderly with transportation, respite care, and other services, and to assist under privileged and home schooled children, as well as adults with learning to play a musical instrument. We currently teach piano, flute, guitar and banjo.

This ministry is a faith-based ministry. As a result of much prayer, seeking Christ’s will for my life, I resigned from a secular organization as an office and accounting manager to focus full-time on reaching out to others in the areas of elder care and music education. That is when SonShine & Blessings was born. SS&B strives to “give a cup of water in His name” while expecting nothing in return from those who are needy. We are non-denominational and serve all those who are in need without regard to ethnic or religious background.

First and foremost, I want to thank God for putting it on my heart 21 years ago to start SonShine & Blessings, for bringing it into fruition, and for sustaining this ministry for the past 20 years.

I also want to thank all of you who attended and/or participated in SonShine & Blessings’ 20th Anniversary celebration at Emmaus Baptist Church on Saturday, November 9th. We had a wonderful time of music, stories, testimonies, desserts and recognition of those that have made the past 20 years possible!

May God bless you all with a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas season with your friends and families.

A great big THANK YOU to the Lord and to all those who helped to make SonShine & Blessings’ (SS&B) and Pittsboro United Methodist Church’s (PUMC) joint pancake breakfast fundraiser a great success!
Thank you to John Wilson and PUMC for joining forces with SS&B to hold the pancake breakfast which was held on Saturday, April 13th. It has been 5 years since we were able to have our annual (and only) fundraiser due to COVID and other circumstances. We are grateful for the opportunity to have it once again!
Thank you to all the many volunteers, some of whom I know and some I don’t, for sacrificing your time, energy and sleep to make the event possible.
Thank you to all who came and supported our event financially, enjoyed the delicious pancakes, bacon, etc., the music, slide show, and fellowship.
Thank you to my students, past and present, and a few other musicians who treated us with some live background music.
Thank you to John & Heather Wilson, Kevin Rose, Bob Johnston, Randy & Lisa Van Buren, Debbie Cosentino, Mary Hummel, Kelly Jennings, and my husband, Michael Frank, for months of meeting, planning, and hard work to get everything in place. This would not have been possible without you! And thank you, Bob Wachs, for a wonderful article in the paper once again, sharing SS&B, PUMC, and Brightest Light with our community.
There are many people who worked at the event and others that attended the event that I didn’t get to speak to. Please know I and SS&B appreciate all of you! You helped to support SS&B so we in turn can help those in our community!
