The funeral and burial for Larry Del Rae will be held tomorrow, May 20, at 7:00pm. We will lay Larry to rest in the St. Mary's Columbarium alongside his life partner, Terry Richardson.
Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon them.

Laurence Endicott Del Rae
October 3, 1945—May 8, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Laurence Endicott Del Rae, who died on May 8, 2026, in Phoenix, at the age of 80.
Larry was born on October 3, 1945, in Phoenix to Dorothy and Donald Del Rae. He spent much of his life pursuing his passions for music, service, and helping others.
Larry graduated from Northern Arizona University, where he cultivated his lifelong love of music. During his college years, he sang in the university choir and performed with the vocal group, The Splinters. His dedication to service led him to join the Peace Corps, where he served overseas as Director of the Iran-America Society and Cultural Center.
Following his service abroad, Larry built a diverse professional career. He worked as an operations manager for major companies in the automotive industry, spent time involved in the film industry in Los Angeles, and later served as a book distribution manager for a publishing company in Tennessee. After returning to Phoenix, he continued sharing his love of music as a choir director at several churches throughout the Valley.
Larry was a kind-hearted, charitable, and loving man whose generosity touched many lives. He found joy in music, cherished his dogs, and devoted himself to helping others through the many charitable organizations he supported throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Donald Del Rae; his brother, Barry Del Rae; and his partner, Terry Richardson.
Larry will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service and burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 6501 N 39th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
