Worthwhile Adventures We are Joshua and Alisha Garber – postmodern Anabaptist mission workers. However, in 2022 we realized God had other plans.

When we met in college, we discovered we are very different people who share a very particular calling: to serve and love people in an international setting. Fast forward to 2010 when we found ourselves first in the Czech Republic and then in Lithuania in 2012. In 2017, we began serving in Barcelona with the hope that it would be a life-long calling. Mosaic Church is already engaged in meaningful work, but like many churches in Scotland, they’re navigating some real obstacles. That’s part of why we believe our gifts and experience fit here: to help build capacity, support local ministry, and strengthen what’s already taking root.

We started our relationship with Emmanuel Presbyterian Church-Phoenix, AZ almost exactly nine years ago, and they've been in our corner ever since. On Sunday, we had the opportunity to lead the worship with cousin Marlys Weaver, share the message, and fellowship over a "Scottish brunch" (complete with Asher's IRN-BRU tasting).
