Learning to study and hold God’s Word closely to us. When Satan tries to convince us of lies, we can put on the belt of truth and hold close to our hearts the love and promises God has for us. ❤️

How it all started...

The First Baptist Church of Philipsburg created Awaken in Fall of 2017. Our church’s mission statement focuses on more and better. Finding ways to reach out to the community and surrounding communities in telling them about this man who died for them - Jesus Christ. Awaken is a class that meets every Sunday from 10:45 am - 12:00 pm. Anyone in grades 6th-8th are more than welcome to join us. We just finished studying the book of John and learning how to develop that deep/intimate relationship with God. Now we have moved on to looking at the book of Ephesians that was written by Paul to the church of Ephesus. We are studying the importance of putting on the “Full Armor of God” and how we can trust God through those tough times. Overall, we meet to eat snacks, drink sodas/waters, laugh, share, and learn about Jesus Christ.
