RESCHEDULED!
Dear ECyD Families and Friends,

Due to so many graduation Masses, parties, school events, and retreats, and after consulting my leadership team and our financial officer, I have decided to reschedule this Sunday, June 5th's Fundraiser to the Fall.

I wish all the 8th grade ECyD boys and girls a happy graduation and of course my continued prayers for their bright and faith-filled futures together!

The next event is our 5th Annual Father Son Campout at French Creek State Park. I hope to share the new date as well as the rest of the calendar for 2023 soon.

Enjoy your summers and well deserved rest. God bless you all!
Sincerely,
Aaron Loch LC

6 teams
60 young men
Each week they gather to learn about saints, read the Bible, play sports, and learn how to stay close to Christ.

In this video, the boys were learning about virtue through a game. Each boy holds a candle in one hand and a tiny water gun in the other hand. The goal is to keep your candle burning and the last one with a lit candle wins.

The virtue of the week was readiness and they worked on keeping your soul ready for His coming so that when he comes he won’t say “I don’t know you.”

A few weeks ago, in the ECyD weekly meetings, the boys were praying with the Parable of the Landowners Vineyard and the Unworthy Tenants and here are some of their reflections-

God will judge us for the things we do on earth so we need to trust Him and be obedient. The tenants did not respect the landowner’s son, acting out of jealousy, and killed him, just like no one respected God's son, Jesus, and killed him. The devil wants to turn your heart away from God, but we need to remember we are not God because Jesus is the cornerstone, and our foundation! The tenants did not exercise humility. They were greedy and proud the way they treated others. So, we have to appreciate what we are given and be grateful to God!

The saints of the day were Saint Urban and Saint Morand. Saint Urban was persecuted for his faith and had to hide in a vineyard for safety. While there, he converted the vineyard workers to Christianity. Saint Morand was known for fasting the entirety of Lent with only a bunch of grapes. So to have some fun with it, the boys put on trash bags and had a fruit fight!!
