Kayla Baumann's Adventures in Missions I'm a full-time Missionary with YWAM Philadelphia and a self published author. Since I was a kid, I knew I would be a missionary.

What I didn't expect was to be one in the city I grew up in. Through the years, God has taken me on a journey of travel, healing, growth, and missions, which has led me full circle from the city I was raised in and back again. I am stationed in Philadelphia as a full-time missionary and a member of the church I grew up in. It is a strange, difficult, and wonderful thing. I have prayed for this cit

y for so long, and God has called me back here to be part of the answer to my own prayers. I am on staff with Youth With A Mission which is an international, interdenominational, missions movement. We train missionaries and either take them or send them off to do missions in the different spheres of society that God calls them to. Despite my introvertedness and lack of natural gifting in evangelism (and actually because of them) I had the extreme privilege (and terror) of being on a panel yesterday with a few other staff in front of our 85 students to share the heart of why we as believers do evangelism and to answer questions. While stories are still on my mind, they have taken a back seat during Joshua Generation. These students are our priority and helping them understand what it means to have a focus on eternity, rather than our short life here on earth is such an honor. (Eternity is the reason I do evangelism even though I'd rather hide in my room, by the way 😂)

Joshua Generation 2023 has started! Just a few pics from last night and today during worship and team time (getting to know the team we will do out reach with). This time of year is always a stretch for me as an introvert, but I am always so thankful and honored to be a part of what God does in these students lives and then through them!

I am in no way an artist, but I'm pretty proud of this. 😂
We spent some time teambuilding this week as a staff at YWAM and today we painted our life mission statement.
I'm still working on the wording of mine, but it's basically to support, equip, and train youth (but not only youth) to grow and boldly live out their calling. ... Or something like that. Lol
