Scenes from this big, Spirit-filled weekend:

On Saturday, we gathered together for Visioning Day, where we discerned how God is calling us to be “Leading with Love” in the next five years.

On Sunday, we gathered for Trinity Sunday, The First Sunday After Pentecost. Our new Associate Priest, Rev. Jeremy, gave his first sermon with us: welcome Jeremy!

Please join us this Sunday for our celebration of Pride! There are two chances for you to get involved:

10AM: Holy Eucharist at the Cathedral with special pride themes

10:30AM: We will gather with other Episcopal churches at 13th and Spruce in front of and walk in the Philly Pride March

The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral invites you to join us on June 7 for our celebration of Pride Sunday. There are two opportunities to get involved:

At 10AM, join us at the Cathedral (38th between Ludlow and Chestnut Streets) for our regular Sunday Holy Eucharist with Pride themes

or

At 10:30AM, meet up with us at 13th and Spruce (in front of St. Luke and The Epiphany) and march with us in the Philly Pride March

As part of our ongoing ministry working to curb gun violence in our city, each year the cathedral is honored to participate in Toll the Bell . Our tower bell will toll at 1 pm, followed by lunch and a chance to interact with anti-gun violence groups from around Philadelphia, including Eddie's House, whom we are proud to partner with.

Over 45 partners across the city will join us on Jun 5, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, for Toll the Bell, a sound installation bringing greater awareness to the gun violence epidemic affecting our city and the nation. Learn more and find a site near you at PennLiveArts.org/TolltheBell.

Wednesday: Noon Eucharist with healing prayer
Wednesday from 5:30 PM: Community Supper with the University City Hospitality Coalition
Thursday at 7 PM on YouTube or Facebook: Compline with Dean Abigail and The Very Rev. Chris Exley
Friday: Noon Eucharist with social justice themes
Sunday at 10 AM: Whitsunday, the feast of Pentecost. Cathedral Childcare and Youth Group provided. Festive fellowship to follow.

On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the birthday of the church, when Jesus’ apostles were anointed with the Holy Spirit, empowered to preach the Good News of the resurrected Jesus to every corner of the world.

Suggested attire: Festive Red

10AM service to be followed by festive fellowship and coffee hour.

The next step in our Strategic Planning process is to come together for Visioning Day on Saturday, May 30. This will be a highly interactive and energizing day where everyone will have an opportunity to help shape the future of the Cathedral.

Your participation is crucial for creating a framework that reflects our core values, shared goals, and dreams for the future.
