It's not strange to me that I would be
In stillness, quiet and feeling free
Reflecting on the days gone by
As the Creators sun light says good morning to my eye
In light, in liberty, in love I rise
To greet born day - anew baptized
Another year at the wide ocean and shore
The ancestors and momma tell me there is more
More of purpose, plan, faith and fire
To pen with purpose and write to inspire
"Michelle," Spirit says, "hold to your confession of faith"
Say the course never stop running your race
For each day given is truly a gift
And this life and the next is not to be missed
This birthday I share my love and gratefulness
I promise to live with wonder and wakefulness
So on this set aside day of birth

Walk With Jesus - Holy Week
The Women's Ministry along with the Women's Prayer Ministry of Salt and Light Church in conjunction invites everyone to join us at the start of Holy Week, Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 7:30 am EVERY morning through Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025 for a time of scripture, reflection and prayer as we walk each day with Jesus from his entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to his resurrection on Resurrection/Easter Sunday. What a wonderful and sacrificial time to come together to reflect on his final steps of his final journey to the cross. Join us for 15 minutes at the start of your day as we walk with Jesus to the cross.

Morning sun sadness slowly made her way from sleep covering the sky
I awaken to the voice of Abba telling me once again to rise
I hear the voice that brings me through the deep wells of woundedness
I will survive and extend my hands
My prayers will be left on the altar and the scent and sound of them will reach heaven's door
The ancestors will guide me to a stronger strength of remembrance
Their breath blows over me lifting me out of despair
The clouds will cry for me and with me
I hear the ocean roaring like a woman baring her baby knowing the world her child will enter into
Their screams (mother and child) at the last push tells the true story of blessings and burden at birth
Awakened by Yahweh at breaking of day

Thank you for our new morn, new month and brand new mercies for this day

Greetings Beloved of God,
As we come to the end of October that has met us with cool breezes, less daylight hours, and pumpkins in and on almost EVERYTHING (lol), we are reminded season’s change.
Along with all of this many of us are going through our own season of change in various ways. I used to dislike change and sometimes still do, but I've come to understand is, changing seasons like the beautiful fall season we are experiencing now, is a necessary element in the land and our lives.
Autumn invites us to see and embrace change as gift, so may I ask us to consider what change should I make that would help not just myself but perhaps, my family, friends and community. When we are healthy (mind, body and spirit) we help others to become healthy as well.
This weekend we will set our clocks back one hour, "spring forward, fall back." For those who need rest, may we fall back and breathe in the cool wind of relief. For those who need to let go of some things, may we like the fall leaves, let go of whatever we have held onto too long that doesn’t “fit.” For everyone, may we see each changing season as a gift where we can experience the God who never changes no matter which season we find ourselves in.
