🚨KNIGHTS TEMPLAR: A DIFFERENT ALTAR🚨

Christian men, this one deserves serious examination.

When people hear Knights Templar, they may immediately think of Christianity, the cross, defending the faith, or the medieval knights.

But the Masonic Knights Templar is something different.

It is part of the York Rite of Freemasonry, and unlike many other branches of Masonry, the Knights Templar requires a profession of the Christian faith.

That raises an important question:

DOES USING THE NAME OF JESUS AND CHRISTIAN SYMBOLS MAKE A MASONIC RITUAL CHRISTIAN?

Look at what takes place within the documented Order of the Temple ceremony.

The candidate assumes what Masonic sources describe as a:

“most solemn obligation.”

The ceremony contains a Triangle, multiple libations, candles, a Bible, w**e and Christian symbolism.

Current Knights Templar ritual instructions document a skull being used during the Penance sequence.

Then there is the Fifth Libation.

The candidate kneels.

Prayer is offered.

W**e is poured.

The cup is given to the candidate.

And the candidate partakes.

The ceremony also contains a Sepulcher Scene, kneeling, an Ascension scene and investment with a cross.

After completing the Order of the Temple, the candidate receives certain:

“signs, grips, and words.”

Christian men, don’t miss what is happening here.

This isn’t simply a men’s Bible study.

This isn’t simply Christian fellowship.

This is a Masonic ritual system incorporating the Bible, prayer, the cross, w**e, solemn obligations, libations, secret signs, grips and words into its ceremonies.

And that leads to the real question.

THE QUESTION ISN’T WHETHER JESUS IS MENTIONED.

THE QUESTION IS WHY JESUS CHRIST IS BEING INCORPORATED INTO A MASONIC RITUAL SYSTEM.

Something does not become biblical simply because a Bible is present.

Something does not become Christian simply because a cross is displayed.

Something does not belong to Christ simply because His name is mentioned.

Jesus said:

“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
Matthew 4:10 KJV

Christian men, our allegiance to Jesus Christ does not need to be supplemented by secret signs, grips, words or Masonic obligations.

We already belong to Christ.

We already have His word.

We already have access to the Father through Him.

We already have fellowship with the saints.

And we don’t need another ritual system to make our Christianity complete.

So if you are a Christian man involved in the Masonic Knights Templar, don’t simply ask:

“DO THEY TALK ABOUT JESUS?”

Ask:

“WHY DO I NEED MASONIC RITUALS, OBLIGATIONS, LIBATIONS, SIGNS, GRIPS AND SECRET WORDS TO EXPRESS MY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST?”

Examine it.

Read the ritual.

Compare it with the word of God.

Then ask yourself:

WHAT ALTAR AM I STANDING BEFORE?

🚨 ZETA TAU ALPHA: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Christian women, especially those who are members of Zeta Tau Alpha, I want you to examine this carefully.

This is not about attacking women in Zeta Tau Alpha. This is about examining what takes place in the ritual and comparing it with the word of God.

Before the candidate takes the obligation, she is told:

“Before going further you must subscribe to a solemn obligation. It will, I assure you, in no way conflict with your civil and religious views as a believer in the Christian religion. Are you willing to proceed?”

That statement deserves our attention.

The candidate is being assured that what she is about to participate in does not conflict with Christianity.

But who gets to determine that?

The organization or Jesus Christ?

Because look at what follows.

The candidate is brought to an altar.

She approaches blindfolded, described as “wandering in darkness” and desiring to be “granted our light.”

She is instructed to kneel, and her hands are placed upon the Bible.

Then she swears a solemn obligation “in the presence of an all seeing God.”

Afterward, the ritual says:

“She is now bound to us by the strong ties of her obligation.”

But it does not stop there.

The ritual identifies:

“our patron Goddess Themis.”

The five points of the crown are said to represent five attributes of Themis:

Justice.
Peace.
Law.
Truth.
Wisdom.

The secret password “Arista” admits the initiate into what the ritual calls the:

“court of Themis.”

And there she is told:

“by Themis, you are instructed…”

But it goes even further.

ZTA post initiation materials identify a song addressed directly “To Themis.”

Themis is not merely a decorative symbol in the organization. Zeta Tau Alpha itself identifies Themis as its Patron Goddess, a figure from Greek religion.

The song speaks of lifting “hearts in song” to Themis and keeping a “sacred vow.”

Christian woman, stop and consider what you are doing.

WHY WOULD A FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST SING “TO THEMIS,” A FIGURE THE FRATERNITY ITSELF CALLS ITS “PATRON GODDESS”?

The Bible says:

“Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.”
Psalm 96:2 KJV

Now go back to what the candidate was told before taking the obligation:

It will “in no way conflict” with your religious views “as a believer in the Christian religion.”

But you cannot simply accept an organization’s assurance that there is no spiritual conflict while participating in a ceremony that identifies a Patron Goddess, introduces you into the “court of Themis,” and includes a song “To Themis.”

THE ORGANIZATION DOES NOT GET TO DEFINE WHAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH CHRISTIANITY. GOD DOES.

God said:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Exodus 20:3 KJV

Jesus said:

“I am the light of the world.”
John 8:12 KJV

And Jesus said:

“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
Matthew 4:10 KJV

So the question is not whether Zeta Tau Alpha says its ritual is compatible with Christianity.

The question is:

IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH JESUS CHRIST?

An altar.
A Bible.
A solemn oath.
Another light.
A Patron Goddess.
A court of Themis.
A song to Themis.

Christian woman, examine it for yourself.

WHO DETERMINES WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD?

THE ORGANIZATION OR THE WORD OF GOD?

🚨 FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Most people know the Fraternal Order of Police as an organization that advocates for law-enforcement officers.

But Christian officers need to look beyond what an organization does publicly and ask another question:

WHAT ARE YOU BEING INITIATED INTO?

The FOP doesn’t simply have membership. Its ritual tradition includes a degree, initiation, lodge structure, officers, an obligation, passwords, guarded doors, secrets and “secret work.”

That should immediately cause us to examine this more closely.

1. THE FOP HAS A DEGREE

Think about that.

A degree. A lodge. An initiation. A Worthy President. A Chaplain. Guards. A gavel. An obligation. A password. Secrets. “Secret work.”

Why does the ritual structure of a police fraternal organization look so much like the fraternal-lodge system associated with Freemasonry?

This is not simply about police officers gathering together for fellowship or professional advocacy.

There is a ritual component.

2. “THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE”

The FOP obligation uses the words:

“…in the presence of the Creator of the Universe…”

Christian officer, don’t just read past that because it sounds religious.

WHO IS “THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE” IN THIS RITUAL?

The obligation does not explicitly identify that title as Jesus Christ.

Religious terminology isn’t automatically Christian terminology.

3. A SOLEMN OBLIGATION

The candidate formally obligates himself to faithfully observe the laws and rules of the Order and fulfill the duties of membership.

That raises a biblical question for every Christian participating:

Should I bind myself to a fraternal organization through a solemn oath?

Scripture says:

“But above all things, my brethren, swear not…” — James 5:12 KJV

4. SECRETS & “SECRET WORK”

The obligation includes language about not divulging the “secrets of this Order.”

Historical FOP ritual material also speaks of candidates receiving instruction in the:

“secret work.”

Why does a police fraternal organization need secrets and “secret work” as part of its initiation?

5. PASSWORDS • GUARDED DOORS • RITUAL

Then consider the larger pattern:

Degree.
Lodge.
Initiation.
Gavel.
Prescribed officers.
Guards.
Password.
Obligation.
Secrets.
Secret work.

Christian officer, at some point you have to ask:

WHY DOES THIS LOOK SO MUCH LIKE A FRATERNAL LODGE RITUAL?

And then we come to something I believe Christians especially need to examine.

6. “IN THY NAME”—WHOSE NAME?

The historical FOP prayer we’ve examined uses language such as:

“Our Father…”

“Thy Spirit…”

and concludes:

“We ask it in Thy name. Amen.”

But notice something:

JESUS CHRIST IS NOT EXPLICITLY NAMED.

Christian officer, whose name is “Thy name”?

Jesus didn’t merely teach His disciples to use generic religious language.

He said:

“Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” — John 16:23 KJV

This is why Christians cannot assume something is biblical simply because it mentions God, a Creator, a Father, a Spirit, prayer or a Bible.

The question is:

WHERE IS JESUS CHRIST?

I’m not attacking police officers. I respect the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect their communities.

This is about spiritual discernment, not disrespect for law enforcement.

Christian officers should be able to examine the ritual, obligation, prayer and spiritual language of any organization asking for their allegiance.

CHRISTIAN OFFICER: EXAMINE WHAT YOU ARE BEING INITIATED INTO.

A DEGREE • A LODGE • AN INITIATION • “CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE” • A SOLEMN OBLIGATION • SECRETS • “SECRET WORK” • PASSWORDS • GUARDED DOORS • PRAYER

Why does the structure resemble Freemasonry while its religious language never explicitly names Jesus Christ?

🚨 SCOUTING AMERICA / ORDER OF THE ARROW: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Christian parents, many of us have looked at Scouting as a place where children learn leadership, service, character, discipline, and outdoor skills.

But once again, my question is not simply:

What does the organization do publicly?

My question is:

WHAT IS YOUR CHILD BEING INDUCTED INTO?

Within Scouting America is the Order of the Arrow (OA), its national honor society. OA has an induction process historically known as the Ordeal.

And when you examine OA’s own documented history, some of the language deserves serious attention from Christian parents.

The 1921 OA obligation required members to preserve:

“the secret rites, mysteries, signs and symbols”

and described the bonds of the Order as:

“sacred and binding.”

But here’s where it becomes even more interesting.

OA’s own historical account records that religious objections resulted in changes to this language.

In 1931, “sacred” was removed from “sacred and binding.”

In 1935, “secret” was removed from “secret rites.”

Christian parents, don’t read past that.

WHY WERE RELIGIOUS GROUPS CONCERNED ABOUT “SACRED” AND “SECRET” RITUALS IN A YOUTH ORGANIZATION?

And although the terminology changed over time, OA has continued to have ceremonial elements associated with membership, including an Obligation, sign, handclasp, and Admonition.

One Scouting council’s OA material even explains that the Admonition isn’t readily available “by design” because it is intended to be known only by members.

But there’s another issue that reaches beyond the Order of the Arrow.

The Scout Oath says:

“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God…”

That sounds familiar to Christians.

But we need to ask:

“DUTY TO GOD”—BUT WHICH GOD?

Scouting America’s religious framework is nonsectarian and accommodates people from differing religious traditions.

That means people who hold fundamentally different beliefs about God can say the same words:

“my duty to God.”

But they aren’t necessarily talking about the same understanding of God.

A Christian may understand those words in reference to the God revealed through Jesus Christ, while someone from another religion can understand them according to an entirely different faith.

So Christian parents, the question is not merely:

“Does Scouting mention God?”

The better question is:

WHAT DOES “GOD” MEAN WHEN THE SAME OATH IS DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS?

Biblical Christianity doesn’t present God as a generic religious title that can simply be filled with whatever understanding an individual chooses.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6 KJV

I’m not saying every Scout is participating in false worship. I’m not attacking children, Scout leaders, camping, community service, leadership development, or the good experiences families may have had through Scouting.

I’m asking Christian parents to examine the spiritual commitments and ceremonial history for themselves.

Look at the words.

Look at the obligation.

Look at the induction.

Look at the historical references to “secret rites, mysteries, signs and symbols.”

Look at the sign, handclasp, and restricted Admonition.

And especially examine what your child is being taught to mean when saying:

“MY DUTY TO GOD.”

Then take it before Scripture.

CHRISTIAN PARENTS: HAVE YOU EXAMINED WHAT YOUR CHILD IS BEING INDUCTED INTO?

Our children can learn leadership.

They can learn service.

They can learn discipline.

They can learn character.

But their spiritual allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ.

🚨 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Christian students, I want you to examine something you may have never questioned.

You worked hard. You earned good grades. You demonstrated leadership, service, scholarship, and character. Then you received an invitation to join the National Honor Society.

It felt like recognition for your accomplishments.

But have you ever examined the ceremony required to become a member?

NHS calls it an induction ceremony.

Its traditional ceremony places a table on the stage with four empty candle holders and one central candle already burning.

Representatives of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character then come forward and light their candles as each pillar is ceremonially presented.

Christian student, I want you to think beyond the academic achievement and ask:

WHAT IS THIS CEREMONIAL TABLE FUNCTIONING AS?

NHS may call it a table.

But when prescribed ceremonial acts are performed around a table, symbolic candles are placed upon it, a central flame burns, ideals are represented, and candidates make a pledge, shouldn’t a Christian at least examine what he or she is participating in?

Then consider the language of LIGHT.

The traditional Scholarship portion speaks of learning providing the “lamp,” “torch,” and “light” by which we understand.

But Jesus said:

“I am the light of the world…” — John 8:12 KJV

So Christian student, ask yourself:

What “light” is being symbolically represented in this ceremony?

Then there is the pledge.

One NHS pledge begins:

“I pledge to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society…”

Another includes:

“I pledge myself always to seek the light of truth…”

Stop and examine those words.

What are you pledging yourself to?

And as a follower of Jesus Christ, what does it mean for you to ceremonially pledge yourself to “seek the light of truth” when Jesus declared:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” — John 14:6 KJV

There’s another important question.

According to NHS guidance, selection alone doesn’t make a student a full, active member. The student must be properly inducted.

So if this is simply recognition for academic excellence:

WHY IS A CEREMONIAL INDUCTION NECESSARY TO BECOME A MEMBER?

And don’t assume that adding a Bible, Scripture, or prayer automatically answers these questions.

The presence of a Bible doesn’t automatically make a ceremony biblical.

We see throughout Scripture that things associated with God can be incorporated into practices God did not authorize. Mixture doesn’t become holy simply because something Christian is added to it.

Christian students, I’m asking you to do something deeper than accepting an honor because your school, parents, teachers, or friends celebrate it.

EXAMINE IT.

Examine the ceremonial table.
Examine the central flame.
Examine the symbolic candles.
Examine the language of “light.”
Examine the pledge.
Examine the induction.

Then take everything you find and place it beside the Word of God.

This isn’t about whether Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character are good qualities. They are.

The question is whether every ceremony built around those qualities is something a follower of Jesus Christ should participate in.

WHAT ALTAR ARE YOU STANDING BEFORE?

Your academic accomplishments don’t need another spiritual source.

Your character doesn’t need another light.

Your identity doesn’t need another ceremony to give it value.

Jesus Christ is already the Light.

“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” — John 8:12 KJV

🚨 CHI ETA PHI: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Many people know Chi Eta Phi as a professional organization for nurses and nursing students. They may know its community service, professional development, and commitment to healthcare.

But once again, my question is not simply:

What does the organization do publicly?

My question is:

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE RITUAL?

According to the ritual documentation I was provided, candidates participate in a formal ceremony involving a ceremonial table, Bible, Lamp of Service, candles, solemn pledge, secrecy, sacred rites, and secret signs.

The ritual asks candidates:

“Do you submit yourself of your own free will…”

And in another ceremony:

“…do you submit yourself…for them to guide you through whatever sacred rites they deem necessary to make you a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority?”

The candidates respond:

“I do.”

Then comes the pledge.

The candidate places her/his right hand over the heart and left hand on the Bible and solemnly pledges to uphold the organization’s standards, “never to divulge any of its secrets”, concluding:

“This pledge is upon my sacred word of honor.”

But there is another part Christians need to examine carefully.

The ritual explains the significance of the Chi Eta Phi pin:

“The caduceus found on the pin was the staff used by Hermes, the Messenger of the gods.”

It goes on to identify Hermes as:

“the god of commerce and the god of peace.”

Then, immediately following the explanation of Hermes and the caduceus, the ritual instructs a Big Sister or Brother to:

“…clasp the sorority pin of Chi Eta Phi over your heart…”

After the pinning, the candidate is told:

“With this pinning, you have now become worthy of learning our secrets.”

Those secrets include a handshake, distress and recognition signal, and password.

Christian, don’t read past this:

A CEREMONIAL TABLE.
A BIBLE.
A SOLEMN PLEDGE.
SUBMISSION.
“SACRED RITES.”
SECRECY.
LOYALTY.
HERMES.
A SYMBOL PLACED OVER THE HEART.
SECRET SIGNS AND PASSWORDS.

I’m not claiming that members of Chi Eta Phi consciously worship Hermes.

I’m asking a different question:

Why should someone who belongs to Jesus Christ submit to “sacred rites,” swear secrecy with a hand on the Bible, pledge loyalty and faithfulness to an organization, and ceremonially wear over the heart a symbol whose own ritual explicitly traces it to the Greek god Hermes?

Don’t dismiss the question by saying:

“It’s only symbolic.”

Symbols are precisely what rituals use to communicate meaning.

Scripture says:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3 KJV

And concerning oaths:

“But above all things, my brethren, swear not…” — James 5:12 KJV

This isn’t an attack on nurses, healthcare professionals, friendships, service, or the good individual members may have done.

This is an examination of the ritual itself.

Read the words.

Examine what happened.

Remember what you pledged.

Then ask God whether anything in that ceremony gave an organization, an oath, a symbol, or another spiritual system something that belongs exclusively to Him.

Professional fellowship should never require divided spiritual allegiance.

🚨 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Christian women who are members of the Order of the Eastern Star, I have some questions for you.

You may love Jesus. You may read your Bible, serve in church, pray, and sincerely believe that Eastern Star is simply about sisterhood, charity, and service.

But I want you to look beyond the good works and examine the ritual itself.

Whose altar are you kneeling at?

The Eastern Star ritual specifically requires an Altar in the center of the Chapter room, positioned within the five-pointed star, with an open Bible upon it.

Why does a Christian woman need another altar?

And what happens at that altar?

The Order describes its obligation as:

“…perpetual, from the force of which there is no release.”

Christian woman, think seriously about those words.

PERPETUAL.
NO RELEASE.

If you already belong to Jesus Christ, why would you voluntarily enter another perpetual obligation at another altar?

Then there are the five degrees—Adah, Ruth, Esther, Martha and Electa.

Why does following Jesus require additional initiatory degrees?

Why are there secret signs, passes, a Test Oath and a Grip of the Order for members to recognize one another?

Scripture says:

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another…” — 1 John 1:7 KJV

So why does Christian fellowship need secret modes of recognition?

And then there is the language of “light, knowledge and beauty.”

Christian woman, Jesus already declared:

“I am the light of the world…” — John 8:12 KJV

So I have to ask:

If Jesus Christ is already your Light, what additional “light” are you receiving through these degrees?

And don’t overlook the connection to Freemasonry.

The Eastern Star ritual itself describes the Square and Compasses within the Star as an emblem of the relationship between the Masonic Fraternity and the Order of the Eastern Star.

This isn’t speculation about whether the two organizations are connected.

Their own ritual acknowledges the relationship.

So this isn’t ultimately about whether Eastern Star gives scholarships, serves communities, helps families, or contains good people.

Good works do not determine whether something belongs to God.

The question is spiritual allegiance.

Christian woman, don’t just ask:

“What’s wrong with Eastern Star?”

Ask the more important question:

“DOES THIS BELONG TO JESUS CHRIST?”

Examine the altar.

Examine the perpetual obligation.

Examine the five degrees.

Examine the secret signs and passes.

Examine the “light.”

Examine the Masonic connection.

And then examine all of it through the Word of God.

WHOSE ALTAR ARE YOU KNEELING AT?

If Jesus Christ is already your Lord, your Light, your Truth, and your Savior:

WHY ARE YOU MAKING A “PERPETUAL” OBLIGATION AT ANOTHER ALTAR?

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3 KJV

🚨 FREEMASONRY: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

Christian men who are members of Freemasonry, I want to ask you some serious questions.

I’m not asking these questions as someone who has never been inside the organization.

I was a Freemason.

I stood in the lodge. I participated in the rituals. I took the obligation. And there came a point when I had to stop defending what I had joined and examine it through the Word of God.

So I’m asking you to do the same.

Whose altar are you kneeling at?

If Freemasonry is simply a fraternity and brotherhood, why does its ritual involve an altar?

Why are sacred writings placed upon it?

Why does a man make a secret obligation before God while kneeling there?

And why does the traditional Entered Apprentice obligation contain a penalty describing having one’s “throat cut across” and “tongue torn out by its roots,” followed by the words “So help me God”?

Jesus said:

“Swear not at all…” — Matthew 5:34 KJV

Christian man, why are you making secret obligations before God at an altar that does not belong exclusively to Jesus Christ?

Think about that.

You may personally believe in Jesus.

You may carry a Bible.

You may attend church every Sunday.

But does the Masonic altar require every man who approaches it to confess Jesus Christ as Lord?

If another man can approach within the same Masonic system while recognizing a different sacred book and understanding the Supreme Being according to another religion, then ask yourself:

Whose altar is it?

And if the Bible can occupy the category of a Volume of Sacred Law alongside sacred writings from other religions, another question must be asked:

When did God’s Word become one sacred book among many?

Jesus did not say that different religions provide different paths to the same Father.

He said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6 KJV

Now consider the language “Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man.”

It sounds harmless.

But Christian man, which Father?

Can a man reject Jesus Christ and still approach the same Father you approach through Christ?

Scripture says:

“Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father…” — 1 John 2:23 KJV

Then consider the lodge itself.

Its presiding officer is called the Worshipful Master. That title by itself does not mean the man is being worshiped as God. But the language goes deeper.

The Entered Apprentice obligation refers to “this Worshipful Lodge, erected to Him and dedicated to the Holy Saints John…”

So again:

Who is the “Him”?

Which God is this lodge erected to when its members can hold fundamentally contradictory beliefs about who God is?

Then go deeper still.

When you became a Master Mason, what happened in the Hiram Abiff ritual?

Why does the candidate participate in the drama surrounding a slain Hiram?

Why is the candidate “raised”?

Why is there a Lost Word and a substitute Master’s Word?

Christian man, if Jesus Christ has already been raised from the dead and Scripture declares Him to be the Word, what spiritual truth are you supposed to receive from participating in another death-and-raising narrative?

And then there is Light.

Jesus said:

“I am the light of the world…” — John 8:12 KJV

So if you already have Jesus Christ:

What Light are you seeking from Masonry?

Albert Pike wrote:

“Every Masonic Lodge is a temple of religion, and its teachings are instruction in religion.”

Don’t read past that.

A temple of religion.

So if Freemasonry has an altar, sacred writings, obligations made before deity, religious terminology, teachings about Light, and a ritual involving death and raising:

at what point do you stop calling it merely a fraternity and begin asking what you are participating in spiritually?

This isn’t about whether Freemasons feed the hungry.

It isn’t about scholarships.

It isn’t about whether there are good men in the lodge.

Good works do not determine whether something is spiritually acceptable to God.

I eventually had to stop asking, “What’s wrong with Freemasonry?”

I had to ask a much more important question:

“Does this belong to Jesus Christ?”

Christian men, examine what you have joined through Scripture, not through tradition, friendships, family history, status or loyalty to the organization.

Because ultimately, this is a question of allegiance.

WHOSE ALTAR ARE YOU KNEELING AT?

If Jesus Christ is already your Light, your Truth, your Word, your Master, your Savior, and your only way to the Father:

WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU SEEKING AT ANOTHER ALTAR?

🚨 ZETA PHI BETA: A DIFFERENT ALTAR 🚨

There are some words Christians should never read casually:

LIGHT. HEART. OATH. GUIDE. BIBLE. KNEEL. LOVE.

Yet these are the kinds of words found within Zeta Phi Beta’s ritual and ceremonies.

The ritual tells candidates:

“Zeta has been written upon your hearts and minds. You are now ready to receive the light of Zeta.”

Then each candidate lights a candle representing:

“the light of Zeta which is to ever keep burning within your hearts.”

But it goes even further.

Before taking the oath, candidates are told:

“This oath must be your constant guide for as long as you live, ‘Once a Zeta, always a Zeta.’”

The candidate then kneels with her left hand on the Bible and right hand over her heart and pledges her loyalty to Zeta Phi Beta.

The ritual also presents the white rose as the sorority’s emblem and says:

“It is yours to hold, honor and love and I charge you to keep this emblem ever before you.”

And this isn’t only about initiation. During the Renewal of the Pledge, members encircle the table with lighted candles, kneel with the left hand on the Bible and right hand over the heart, and while still kneeling solemnly repeat the pledge.

Christian, don’t read that language casually.

What should be written upon your heart and mind?
Whose light should burn within your heart?
Who should be your constant guide for as long as you live?
What deserves your honor and love?
And before whom should you kneel and pledge yourself?

This isn’t about scholarships, sisterhood, community service, or accomplished members.

The question is what happens in the ritual.

Some things cannot simply be dismissed as symbolism when the symbolism uses the heart, light, lifelong guidance, the Bible, kneeling, solemn pledges, honor and love.

Sisterhood cannot have what belongs to God.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3 KJV

That’s why I call this series:

A DIFFERENT ALTAR.

Read the words for yourself. Then measure them against Scripture.
