This week we’re highlighting our worship leader for the conference, Tamara Ayers.
Tamara wears many hats and has most of her life. She is a wife, mother, stepmother, teacher, coach, musician, singer, songwriter, worship leader and photographer. However, her true identity is found as a daughter of the Most High King.
Tamara grew up in Concord, Nc, always singing and playing sports. She went to Meredith College where she continued singing and playing. Soon after graduating, she married, began teaching high school math, and coaching several sports. Two years later, she became a mother to her beautiful daughter, Kaitlyn, who also inspired her heart to turn back to God.
On this path there were many highs and lows. But, down every road, around every corner, through every blown stop sign and recognized caution, God was constantly drawing her closer to Him. During these times Tamara began playing guitar, writing songs, leading worship, and having two amazing sons, Elijah & Kalyb.
Tamara is now married to Bradley who, in so many ways, exemplifies the love of God through their marriage and in their household. She is also the proud stepmom to five bonus kids (Bethany, Jessica, Skye, Joshua, Leandra), making her home extremely active, never dull, and always exciting.
Tamara spends many days working on music -leading worship Community and Church Stuart, teaching, watching ball games, playing with the kids, engaging in family games, and washing a lot of dishes and clothes 😁😁😁. But everyday is a day she is more than grateful for God’s love and compassion in her life and how He constantly pursued and continues to pursue her.
