We need your help! Our building is 123 years old! We are in desperate need to repair 10 windows-$1000 each. Donations are tax deductible!

☎️Calling all current and former members, friends, and families of First Baptist Church of Paterson-we need your help! Our building is 123 years old!
Our church urgently needs repairs to 10 windows. 🪟Replacing them will lower our utility costs ⚡️and help us pay down debt caused by windows degrading/losing their seals-allowing indoor heat to escape in the winter and outdoor heat to enter in the summer, forcing our HVAC system to work much harder.
Every donation, large or small, will help preserve our church home and strengthen our ministry for future generations.💒
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and continued support. ❤️🙏

💒Today, the First Baptist Church of Paterson honors the brave heroes from the Civil War, World War I, and World War II who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.🇺🇸
🏭Paterson lost many courageous soldiers during the Civil War, including our very own church member, Captain Hugh C. Irish, who was killed leading his men at the Battle of Antietam.
We continue to honor his memory and the deep historical legacy of sacrifice across generations, lifting all of our fallen heroes' families in prayer.
❤️Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one's friends. 🇺🇸🙏

A descendant Peter Tilstra recently visited and left a suitcase of incredible family memorabilia with us on loan. We are now researching these historic treasures to uncover new stories about the Bell, Dimmick, Devlin, and Taylor families and their ties to our church's past. Stay tuned as we share our discoveries! "

To the Mothers and Women of First Baptist Church of Paterson:This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the "Mother Hearts" that have nurtured our church family for over 200 years. We honor the legacy of those who came before us, like the Ladies' Aid Society (est.1873), who clothed the poor and supported local hospitals with their own hands. We remember the Helping Hand Circle, a pillar of faith and community impact since 1890. To the women of today—biological, spiritual, and adoptive mothers—we see your sacrifice and steady hand. Whether you are leading in ministry, mentoring the next generation, or praying for our city, your love is a testament to the divine gift of motherhood.“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also praises her: Many women have done noble deeds, but you surpass them all!” — Proverbs 31:28-29, Happy Mother's Day to the women who carry the heartbeat of our church and the world.

Celebrating the Ladies’ Aid Society (est. May 1, 1873, by Mrs. Banvard), a powerhouse of faith and service. From fundraising for church needs to clothing the poor and supporting local hospitals with handmade garments, these women dedicated their lives to community care and "kindly social feelings". #1873 St. Joseph's Health
