ASK MY SISTER: Psalm 46:5 God is within her; she will not fall.
What encouraging words would you share to inspire other women?
Four inspirations from some phenomenal women.
1. "I just love bossy women. I could be around them all day. To me, bossy is not a pejorative term at all. It means somebody’s passionate and engaged and ambitious and doesn’t mind leading." — Amy Poehler
2. "Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women." — Maya Angelou
3. "The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any." — Alice Walker
4. "Find out who you are and do it on purpose." — Dolly Parton

ASK MY SISTER??? In effort to highlight our personal history what experience or who in your family has made an impact on black history? Please share your story below. I'll start... my grandmother was the NAACP secretary for 30 years in Ohio. She shared the importance of community to make a difference with me. My grandfather is listed in the 1950 book Who's who in colored America, he was the first black man to receive a BA degree in social work.
