If anyone has a fenced in yard or other area and would be willing to take care of my dog when I am out of town, please let me know. He can’t be off leash out of a fenced in area. Greyhounds can get lost very quickly. He’s a pretty good dog but doesn’t seem to care for really small children and cats.

I apologize for not getting this is earlier but beginning on Saturday June 1 we will be switching mass times between Makoti and Plaza. The Saturday 5:00 pm mass will be at St. Elizabeth in Makoti and the Sunday 8:30 am mass will be at Sacred Heart in Plaza. Parshall will continue to have mass at 10:30 am on Sunday. I did announce this in mass last Sunday but I did not get it into the bulletin.

Our next two potluck dinners will be after the 10:30 Sunday mass in Parshall on Sunday April 27 and Sunday May 25. On May 25 we will also be honoring this year's High School graduates. In addition May 25 will be the 25th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood.

Ash Wednesday this year is on Wednesday March 5.
We will have one mass in Parshall at 7:00 PM

Also, beginning Friday March 7 we will have Stations of the cross at 5:30 pm in Parshall and will continue during Lent through Friday, April 11.

I nearly froze my face taking my dog around the block this morning. Since it's only going to get colder I've decided after consultation to only have mass this weekend in Parshall on Sunday at 10:30 am. For those of you in Plaza and Makoti who don't want to venture out I'm dispensing you from your obligation for this weekend, as I can do as pastor. For those in Parshall, if you have to take a risk coming out you are also dispensed. Your obligation is to attend a weekend mass if you are able. You are not required to risk your life. And my dog is going to have to be satisfied with a lot shorter walks until it warms up.

A very big day for our Hispanic brothers and sisters. I also think Our Lady of Guadalupe is pretty great.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, venerated as the patroness of Mexico and the Americas, symbolizes compassion and protection, celebrated for her miraculous appearance in 1531.
