Cry of the Persecuted Church

Cry of the Persecuted Church Cry of the Persecuted Church is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian ministry dedicated to assisting persecuted believers around the world.

CPC was founded in 2001 (under the name Faith Covenant International) by Pastor Mujahid el Masih. He and the Christian community he served were attacked by Muslims in February 1997. A Christian in their village was falsely accused of tearing a few pages from a copy of the Quran and throwing them “disrespectfully” into a Muslim mosque. Thousands of Muslims were incited to riot at this perceived out

rage and stormed two Christian villages in the area. Dozens of churches were destroyed, 1500 houses burned, many believers were violated and/or died, all while government officials turned a blind eye. Pastor Masih survived the attacks and spoke out against the injustice. As a result, he and his family were forced to flee for their lives. God miraculously opened the door for them to come to the United States, where Pastor Masih has thrived as a popular conference speaker. He is the author of two books: Fearless Love in the Midst of Terror and Sharing the Gospel with Muslims (this latter book co-authored with Daniel Scot). He has also served as an Associate with Voice of the Martyrs for 15 years, promoting that organization while speaking on behalf of the persecuted church around the world. CPC’s Mission: Serving the Church worldwide by connecting believers who have freedoms and re-sources with believers who have neither freedoms nor resources. CPC’s Ministry Is Based on Two Bible Verses:
Proverbs 31.8. Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are poor and helpless. And Hebrews 13:3. Remember them that are in bonds, as if you are in bonds with them; and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. CPC’s Primary Goals:
To educate believers in the United States concerning the realities of persecution around the world, and to inspire them to greater courage and commitment. To create opportunities for believers in the United States to encourage those experiencing persecution elsewhere. To provide practical relief and spiritual support for those experiencing persecution. To equip believers everywhere to love those who persecute them and win for Christ those who are opposed to the gospel.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

This morning I was listening to the Book of Exodus. It was about how God made a clear distinction between the Israelites and the Egyptians. I believe that the God we serve is unchangeable as we read in Malachi 3:6 " For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are bot consumed, O sons of Jacob. Hebrew 13:8. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. But He is asking that all of us give him our full and total commitment. Let us pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us fully follow Jesus and obey His commandments with all of our hearts. Let us also ask the Lord Jesus to make a difference between His people and the people of the world in 2022.

The year 2021 was very difficult, but it was better than 2020. We lost 4 pastors due to the coronavirus in India. Almost all of the pastors in India and Pakistan suffered from the virus, as well as myself and my wife, but thank God we all recovered. We did not lose heart, but instead we had many meetings on Zoom. Sometimes we had up to 500 pastors during our Zoom meetings! Here are few highlights from the year 2021.

1. Made to Multiply Conference
Dallas, TX.
Mission: Raise more than 1 million Christian leaders in the United. Raise 2.5 million leaders who in turn will reach 35 million people in 11 Pakistani districts in the next 2-3 years. This training will be arranged with our partner organization, e3 Partners.
2. 3 Pastors Conferences:
1 conference in Dubai and 2 in Pakistan.
3. Bible College Graduation.

I believe 2021 has been a fruitful year for you! The CPC team and I have prayed for you all throughout this year, and even now. My dear brothers and sisters, I declare God’s abundant blessings upon your lives in the coming days and years!

I want you to know that you are a great blessing to the persecuted Christians and those who are in need. God is using you mightily to reach persecuted Christians and leaders in hard-to-reach areas. Because of your prayers and financial support, more than 100 children in Pakistan are receiving an education. More than 50 children are being educated in our elementary school in Bangladesh. I was also able to baptize 3 girls in Pakistan. Furthermore, pastors are being trained to reach people in rural and unreached areas. We have hundreds of testimonies of healings, deliverances, and many people being saved. It is because of your help that we are able to support and encourage people in Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, UAE, South Africa, and also the United States. In 2021, the CPC team and I were able to visit two of these countries to spread the love of God, and I had the realization that we need to work even harder to show God’s love to others. The poverty, persecution, and difficult circumstances that I have seen many Christians endure have gripped my heart; however, I cannot thank God enough that through the Cry of the Persecuted Church we are able to spread the saving Gospel of Jesus and help those who are in need.

To briefly inform you, Cry of the Persecuted Church is running several projects which include:

1. Support for Widows
2. Education for Children
3. Buying People out of Slavery (brick-kiln workers)
4. Bible Colleges
5. Church Plantings
6. Orphanage in India: My Father’s House.
7. School in Bangladesh: Free education and lunch to students
8. And many more!

Our international outreach focuses mainly on rural areas where people are living in harsh circumstances, in bo***ge and facing persecution. You can do even more for these persecuted people! Make your year-end gift, especially for the pastors in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, so that we can purchase motorcycles for them. This will allow them to reach more villages and minister to greater numbers of people there. We want to continue to help more widows, orphanages, and those in need.

Please make your donations before midnight on December 31st (MST) to save on your 2021 taxes.

Keep praying for our ministry work as it is expanding and reaching many people. You can send your year-end gifts by clicking the link below or by mailing it to the address provided.

Sincerely and humbly,

Pastor John Masih was working in his field and one night he went to sleep in the field also. He heard a voice calling his name, “John”. He woke up and looked around to see if there was someone there, but there was no one. He went to sleep again and heard the voice again saying, “John, I am Jesus, I am calling you, follow me and do my work.”

This is how the story of our dear Pastor John begins.

Pastor John was born in Village 348 in District Lodhran on January 1, 1962. He got married on February 8, 1984 and God blessed him with seven children. They are all alive and well with ages ranging from 22-34, and 6 of them are married. John was saved in 1976 and he was very passionate about sharing his testimony and preaching the Word although he was not a pastor.

After he got married, he began working for someone and became very busy. One cold night when he was in his harvest field, he was sleeping next to a heap of cotton. He heard a voice calling him which said, “John”. He woke up but there was no one around him. He then heard the voice a second time and knew that this voice was from Jesus. Just as Samuel said, “Here I am” John also said the same thing. The voice then said, “I am Jesus, I want you to serve me and preach my Word full time.” John went to his house the next morning and told his wife, who was very happy upon hearing this. She assured him that she would stand with him no matter what; however, his family was very concerned for him and thought he was crazy and asked how he would take care of his seven children, since it’s not easy to take care of seven children. They told him that he was working and earning good money, why would he want to leave everything and follow Jesus to preach the Gospel. His older brothers and sisters were not happy with him, but he told them that he was going to follow Jesus. They told him that he could still follow Jesus and do a part time job, but John told them “I cannot serve two masters.”

After a week he had another dream in which he saw that he was preaching in a large church. Another week after his dream, two pastors came from Pastor Masih’s village and said to him that they are running a Bible school and offered him admission. When they were asking, John was the very first person to raise his hand and say that he wanted to go to Bible School. Someone from the Bible School asked him why he wanted to go, since he had to take care of his children. He replied by saying, “God has called me to preach the Gospel.” He went to Bible School and started many churches
